Sunday Baseball Picks

I’m rolling the dice on four teams today. I like the Mets. They’ve already swept the Marlins this year. They lost 2 straight and should get the win today.

When Hutchison pitches, Blue Jays score. Phillies and Brewers are due.

Today’s picks:

New York Mets
Toronto Blue Jays
Philadelphia Phillies
Milwaukee Brewers

Saturday Baseball Picks

Good win yesterday with the Royals. Let’s keep it rolling today with the Phillies and Harang. Harang has an ERA of .090 and a WHIP of 1.05 in his last 3 outings. Colorado is 16-38 in the last 54 games against the Broad Street Bullies. Also, let’s take Houston and Keuchel. He’s 7-1 in his last 8 home games and 14-3 in his last 17 starts.

Today’s picks:

Philadelphia Phillies
Houston Astros

Friday Baseball Pick

Orioles got the second leg of the double header yesterday. Double headers always split. Never bet the first one.

Today I’m taking the Royals as a dog in the early game. They are 9-2 for their last 11 Friday games and 21-9 in the last 30. Royals are 9-6 in the day and Cubs are 8-11 in the day. The Royals have the edge in the bull pen, hitting, power, defense and bench and they have lost 4 straight so they are due. If you like betting totals, check the wind at Wrigley. Right now it’s 7 mile an hour winds SSW.

More picks coming later.

Today’ afternoon delight:

Kansas City Royals

Thursday Baseball Pick

Looks like Sale and the White Sox will get the first one of the double header. My experience is that double header wins are normally split. Chris Beck is making his first start for the White Sox but doesn’t compare to Sale. Mike Wright for Baltimore is 1-0, has pitched 14 innings with 0 ERA and .70 WHIP. Baltimore has the edge in bullpen, hitting, power, speed, defense and bench. I’m taking Baltimore in the second of the daily double.

Today’s pick:

Baltimore Orioles

Wednesday Baseball Pick

Reds and Mets came through yesterday in two close ones.

Today I like the Phillies as a +165 dog. Phillies have lost 3 straight but O’Sullivan is a quality pitcher. I think they eke this one out in Queens today.

Today’s pick:

Philadelphia Phillies

Tuesday Baseball Picks

Good win by the Jays yesterday. They love Memorial Day! That gives them six straight wins now on that special day.

Today I’m laying off of the Jays. I don’t trust the knuckler Dickey. I’m jumping on the Mets at home with deGrom. Over his last 3 starts, his ERA is 2.37 with a WHIP of 0.84. On the other side, Williams has an ERA of 6.00 with a WHIP of 1.60. Philadelphia is 7-23 over the last 30 against the Mets. Mets play well at home: 20-6 over their last 26.

I’m also taking the Reds at home against the Rockies. They lost nine straight and are in their worst slump since 1998. Look for them to bust out of it tonight with a quality starter in Lorenzen. This morning William Hill listed De La Rosa as pitcher for the Rockies but are now showing Rusin. Keep an eye on it.

Today’s picks:

New York Mets
Cincinnati Reds

Memorial Day Baseball Pick – Update

Let’s stay north of the border with Toronto. They’ve won 5 consecutive games on Memorial Day and have averaged 7.8 runs in these games. Hutchinson is pitching with an ERA of 3.57 and a WHIP of 1.25 over his last 3 starts. When he pitches, the Jays average 9.5 runs per game. Noesi’s last 3 starts gave him an ERA of 6.94. Toronto has the edge in starting pitching, bullpen, hitting, power, speed and defense. Reyes should be activated today from Buffalo and should start at short. Joey “Bats” Bautista had a cortisone shot in his shoulder and is questionable, but I think he’ll play.

Update: Looks like Joey Bats is out for the day but I’m standing by my pick and still running with Toronto.

Today’s pick:

Toronto Blue Jays
