Friday Baseball Pick – Update

Atlanta came through last night with a 10-1 trouncing of the Brewers. Brewers are now 3-13 in their last 16 games in Atlanta. Friday games don’t fare well for them either. They are 1-7 in their last 8. Atlanta is 24-11 in their last 35 Friday games. Wood is a quality pitcher for Atlanta with an ERA of 3.50 over his last 3 outings and Peralta has an ERA of 4.32 for his last 3 outings. Pitching stats are close but Atlanta is also getting hot so I’m running with them until they cool down.

By the way, William Hill pulled the Braves game off of the book which may be related to the 8-game suspension for Brewers’ left-handed pitcher Smith. Brewers are probably making some adjustments. Keep an eye on this one.

It turns out that Woods was pulled because of a stomach virus so Stults is replacing him with a 1-4 record and ERA of 5.36. I’m laying off on this one.

Also, I like the Yankees at home in the Bronx tonight. They have lost 3 straight and Pineda has been stellar this year. Yankees have the edge in starting pitching, bullpen, hitting, power, defense and bench. They should end their 3 game skid tonight.

Today’s pick:

New York Yankees
