Monday NHL Picks

The Calgary Flames travel to Brooklyn tonight to take on the New York Islanders. Calgary has not had great success in New York winning just 1 out of their last 5 games there. New York is off to a great start this season posting a 5-2-1 record. The Islanders have been dominant over the Western Conference going 4-0 over their last 4 games. New York has the edge in offense, defense, power play, penalty kill, face offs, discipline and goaltending. Islanders in this one.

The Arizona Coyotes travel north of the border to take on the dismal Toronto Maple Leafs. Arizona is 8-2 in their last 10 meetings in Toronto. The Leafs are 0-8 in their last 8 home games against a team with a winning road record. Arizona should get this one.

Todays NHL Picks:

New York Islanders
Arizona Coyotes

Sunday NFL Pick

Rivers went for over 500 yards last week. I think he’ll do it again today but the team will back him up against the Raiders.

Today’s pick:

San Diego Chargers

Saturday NHL Picks

There’s a lot of hockey today but we narrowed it down to these four plays.

Today’s picks:

St. Louis Blues/NY Islanders game – over 5.5
Ottawa Senators/Arizona Coyotes game – over 5.5
New Jersey Devils – Money Line
Anaheim Ducks – Money Line

Saturday NCAAF Picks

Let’s keep it rolling with the dog picks. We had Temple and San Diego State – both dogs and they won. I like these dogs today, listed in no particular order. Pick one or all.

Today’s picks:

South Alabama
Army
Colorado
Boston College
Kansas State
Vanderbilt
Kent State

NCAAF Friday Pick

Not as sure on this one as I was with the Temple game last night but I’m leaning toward San Diego State over Utah State. The line opened at -5 Utah State and dropped to -3.5. The Aztecs are at home, getting points and are 4-0-1 ATS in games in October.

Tonight’s pick:

San Diego State Aztecs

Friday ALCS Game 6 Pick

The Toronto Blue Jays travel Kansas City to take on the Royals where it is a win-or-go-golfing situation. The lefty David Price gets the call tonight for the Jays and he is well rested. David Price is a top 5 (or better) pitcher. People forget he won 18 games this year and all that’s talked about is his 0-7 lifetime post season record. I like Price to win this one, get the monkey off his back, and force a game 7.

Tonight’s pick:

Toronto Blue Jays

Thursday NCAAF Pick

The Temple Owls take their 6-0 record to East Carolina tonight to take on the Pirates. The Owls are ranked for the first time (24th) since 1979. These 2 teams met last year and Temple prevailed 20-10. The Owls are 5-2 against the spread in their last 7 road games against a team with a winning record. Temple has the edge in points per game, yards allowed, time of possession, kicking and penalties against. I’ll take the road team here and the 3 points.

Today’s NCAAF pick:

Temple Owls
