Monday NHL Pick

The New York Rangers have lost 3 in a row but that should change tonight when they host the Carolina Hurricanes. Rangers have won 10 straight at home against the ‘Canes. This is the perfect matchup for Henrik Lundqvist to break out of his slump.

Today’s pick:

New York Rangers

Sunday Hockey Pick

There’s only one hockey game today with Florida at Detroit. The Panthers’ goaltender Roberto Luongo is expected to be in the net. His record has been less than stellar this year. With 18 games under his belt, he’s currently 7-11-1 with a GAA of 2.47. Also, Florida has been struggling on the road with an Away record of 3-4-1-1. Detroit has a home win record of 6-5-2-0. Petr Mrazek will be between the pipes for the Red Wings. He’s played in 13 games with a record of 6-6-1 and a GAA of 2.21. Motor City should take this one.

Today’s pick:

Detroit Red Wings

Saturday Hockey Pick

Washington Capitals travel to Air Canada Centre to take on the Toronto Maple Leafs. Caps have an overall record of 16-5-1 and have beat the Leafs in Toronto in their past 2 meetings. Holtby will be in the net tonight, with a GAA of 1.95 and a record of 14-4-0. He’ll be facing the Leafs’ goaltender Bernier, who has a GAA of 3.17 and a record of 0-7-1. Washington should capitalize this one.

Tonight’s pick:

Washington Capitals

Friday Hockey Pick

Winnepeg Jets head to Excel Energy Center to take on the Minnesota Wild. Hutchinson, the primary goaltender for the Jets has been abysmal and the latest is that Hellebuycke is expected to be between the pipes in his place. The Wild has been strong against the Central teams and tonight should be no exception.

Tonight’s pick:

Minnesota Wild

Thursday NCAAF PIck

The 4-6 Texas Longhorns host the 6-5 Texas Tech Red Raiders tonight in Austin. It has been a disappointing season for the Longhorns, and it gets even worse tonight with their 2 best running backs, D’Onta Foreman and Johnathan Gray, not expected to play. The Red Raiders come into this game with an explosive offense, averaging 46.5 points per game. Texas Tech has the edge in points/game, yards gained, time of possession, red zone, kicking and penalties. The Red Raiders have not won in Austin since 1997, but that drought should end tonight. I like the Red Raiders getting 1.5 points.

Tonight’s pick:

Texas Tech Red Raiders

Wednesday Hockey Pick

Vancouver Canucks and the Minnesota Wild meet up tonight on the Wild’s home ice. Vancouver has trouble in Minnesota, losing 9 of the last 13 there, and they are 1-5 in their last 6 overall. The Wild has been hot at home, winning 8 of their last 9 games.

Tonight’s pick:

Minnesota Wild

Tuesday Hockey Pick

The Calgary Flames travel to Honda Center tonight to take on the Anaheim Ducks. The Flames’ record in Anaheim has been dismal, winning just 1 of their last 26 there. I don’t see that trend changing tonight.

Tonight’s pick:

Anaheim Ducks
