After suffering a rare loss to Pittsburgh on Sunday, the Chicago Cubs take their 13-3 road record to Miller Park tonight to take on the Milwaukee Brewers. Arizona Diamondbacks

The Pittsburgh Pirates were swept earlier this year by the Chicago Cubs and they will seek revenge today when they travel to Wrigley to play an afternoon delight. Pittsburgh is sending the lefty Francisco Liriano to the hill and he has had success against the Cubs. Liriano in 11 starts against Chicago is 5-2 with an ERA of 2.27 and he is 4-1 with an ERA of 1.56 at Wrigley. Jason Hammel gets the nod for Chicago and in 12 starts against the Bucs he is 6-5 with an ERA of 4.00. Andrew McCutchen is starting to heat up and in his career against Chicago he is batting .312 with 16 home runs. Taking the dog in this one.

Pittsburgh Pirates

After a rain out yesterday the Pittsburgh Pirates will try and even the score with the Cincinnati Reds and leave Great American Ball Park with a split. Juan Nicasio gets the call for the Bucs and he is 3-3 with an ERA of 4.02 and a WHIP of 1.37. Nicasio faced the Reds on April 29th and was dominant, surrendering 3 hits, 8 K’s and no runs in 7 innings of work. Alfredo Simon gets the nod for the Reds tonight and he is 1-3 with an ERA of 9.86 and a WHIP of 2.19. Simon faced Pittsburgh on April 30th and had a poor outing, giving up 3 runs on 6 hits and walking 4 in 4 innings of work. The Reds are 1-4 in Simon’s last 5 starts and 0-4 in his last 4 against a team with a winning record. Mark Wegner is calling it tonight and Pittsburgh is 13-3 in their 16 with him behind the dish.
