Tuesday NHL Pick

The Detroit Red Wings will be without two of their top weapons tonight, Dylan Larkin and Thomas Vanek, when they take on the Boston Bruins at TD Garden. Larkin and Vanek were both injured in Sunday’s loss to the New York Rangers with upper and lower body injuries. The Red Wings are 0-6 in their last 6 games in Boston and 3-12 in the last 15 meetings with the Bruins. Boston is on a 4-game slide and if they lose another one, coach Claude Julien will probably not be on the Bruins’ payroll in the morning. The Bruins get this one for the coach.

Tonight’s pick:

Boston Bruins

Monday NCAA Men’s Basketball Pick

The Canisius Golden Griffins will make the short trip to Niagara tonight to take on the Purple Eagles at Gallagher Center. The Griffins are, without a doubt, the superior team in this matchup, with a record of 12-8 and are averaging 81.3 points per game. The Purple Eagles come into this one with a record 6-14 and are averaging 74.7 points per game. The Griffins are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 road games, 11-3 ATS in their last 14 games as a road favorite, and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 at Gallagher Center. Canisius won all 3 matchups last year and they should get another one tonight. Canisius on the money line in this one.

Tonight’s pick:

Canisius Golden Griffins M/L

Sunday NFL Pick

The Pittsburgh Steelers are riding a 9-game winning streak and I see that continuing today when they face the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game in Foxboro. The Steelers are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 road games and 7-1-1 ATS in their last 9 games overall. Big Ben has the league’s best running back at his disposal, Le’Veon Bell, who carved up the Kansas City Chiefs last week for 170 yards. In addition to that, he has one of the league’s top receivers, Antonio Brown, who has 481 receptions over his last 4 seasons. During this 9-game winning streak, the Steelers defense has been stellar, yielding an average of just 16.6 points per game and recording 31 sacks. Steelers get this one.

Today’s pick:

Pittsburgh Steelers +6

Friday Men’s NCAA Basketball Pick

The Canisius Golden Griffins and the Quinnipiac Bobcats last faced each other on 1-14-17 in Buffalo and the Griffins won 83-77, and I don’t see why it should be any different tonight when they travel to Connecticut. The Griffins are a very good 6-4 on the road, 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games as a road favorite, and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 overall. The Bobcats sit at 4-4 at home and are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games as a home underdog. The Griffins are ranked 81st in offensive field goal percentage shooting as opposed to Quinnipiac at 250. This line opened at Canisius -2 and has now climbed to Canisius -3. The Griffins should cover the number but I’m playing it safe and taking them on the money line.

Tonight’s pick:

Canisius Golden Griffins M/L

Thursday Men’s NCAA Basketball Pick

The 11-6 Richmond Spiders will take their game North tonight to take on the 13-4 Dayton Flyers. Richmond is 4-2 on the road, 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall, 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 road games as an underdog, and 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 meetings with the Flyers. The Flyers are tough at home but are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 home games against a team with a winning record. I’ll take the points here and go with the Spiders.

Tonight’s pick:

Richmond Spiders +12.5

Wednesday NBA Pick

The Sacramento Kings are playing the finale of a 7-game home stand and have been able to muster just 1 win in the first 6 games. After tonight, the Kings will be embarking on an 8-game road trip so a win at the Golden 1 Center would send them packing on a positive note. Turnovers have been the issue for Sac, giving it up 43 times in their last 2 games, and that is not good. Indiana struggles on the road, owning a record of 5-14, and they are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 meetings with the Kings. Sacramento averages 105.4 points per game at home and allows an average of 107.1. On the flip side, the Pacers put up an average of 103.9 on the road and allow an average of 110.6. If Sacramento keeps the turnovers to a minimum, they should get this one. The line is Sac -1.5, with a money line of just -125, so why sweat the hook?

Tonight’s pick:

Sacramento Kings – M/L
