Thursday Men’s NCAA Basketball Pick

The Delaware Blue Hens should notch another road victory tonight when they visit Schar Center to take on the Elon University Phoenix. The Hens are ranked 81st in offensive field goal percentage and are 6-4 on the road, averaging 71.2 points per game and allowing an average of 73.7. The Phoenix are ranked 219th in offensive field goal percentage and are just 3-8 on their home court, averaging 70.7 points per game and allowing an average of 82.6. These two teams met back on January 5th, with Delaware winning decisively, 77-65. The Hens are currently laying 2 (no pun intended) with a money line of -145 so this will be a play on Delaware, money line.

Wednesday NBA Pick

The Sacramento Kings will be glad to get back to Golden 1 Center tonight after going 2-4 on their recent road trip. Sac will be hosting the Atlanta Hawks who are coming off a big win over the Los Angeles Clippers. Even though the Hawks beat a really good Clipper team, I wouldn’t get too excited. They are still 16-33 on the season and 8-20 on the road. Sacramento sits at 25-25 with a home record of 14-10. The Kings destroyed the Hawks in Atlanta back in November, 146-115, and will have the edge in points per game, field goal percentage, defense, turnovers and bench. The line is currently Sacramento -5.5 and who knows where it will end up? I like the Kings on the money line.

Tuesday Men’s NCAA Basketball Pick

The Eastern Michigan Eagles will make the 2.5 hour trip to Mount Pleasant tonight to take on the Central Michigan Chippewas. The Eagles have been sub-par at best on the road, at 2-7, where they are averaging 63.6 points per game and allowing an average of 75.4. On the flip side, the Chippewas have been tough at home, at 8-2, where they have been lighting up the scoreboard, averaging 86.4 points per game and allowing an average of 79.4. Central Michigan will have the edge tonight in points per game, field goal percentage, free throw percentage, rebounding and turnovers. The Chippewas have lost 3 in a row so they are due. The line is currently Central Michigan -2.5 with a money line of only -145 so why sweat the points? Consider the Chippewas on the money line.

The Brooklyn Nets will be spotted 10.5 points tonight when they travel to TD Garden to take on the Boston Celtics. The Nets are the real deal. The Miami Heat will be at MSG tonight to take on the hapless New York Knicks. New York has dropped 8 in a row and are just 4-16 on the season at home. The morale in the Knicks’ locker room is not good, as the standoff between coach David Fizdale and center Enes Kanter continues. The Heat are a respectable 12-11 on the road and annihilated the Knicks back in October, 110-87. Take the Heat on the money line in this one.

The St. Joseph’s Hawks will be playing an out of conference game tonight in Philadelphia against the Pennsylvania Quakers. The Hawks come into this game ranked #303 in offensive field goal percentage and are just 1-5 on the road, where they are averaging 70.5 points per game and allowing an average of 77.5. The Quakers are a respectable 5-2 at home, where they are averaging 79.5 points per game, allowing an average of 70.8, and they are ranked #129 in offensive field goal percentage.
