The Stanford Cardinal are off to their best start in 8 years, at 9-1, but will have their hands full tonight when they host the 9-2 San Francisco Dons. This is a good spot to consider taking the road dog. The Cardinal have not played in two weeks due to final exams so rust and timing could come into play. The Dons are coming off an impressive 91-69 blowout over Cal State Fullerton on Saturday and can light up the scoreboard. They are averaging 84.6 points per game and have a 7′ center named Jimbo Lull who dominates.
TONIGHT’S PICK: SAN FRANCISCO DONS +6.5
Month: December 2019
Monday NHL Pick
The Washington Capitals will have payback on their minds tonight when they visit Nationwide Arena for a matchup with the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Jackets beat the Capitals in Washington on December 9th, 5-2, and that is still fresh in the minds of Ovi and company. Washington has been lethal on the road, with a record of 15-2-1, and will be catching a struggling Columbus team that has lost 2 straight and 7 of their last 10.
TONIGHT’S PICK: WASHINGTON CAPITALS
Sunday NFL Pick
Two of the Black and Blue Division’s bitter rivals, the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers, will meet for the 200th time today at Lambeau Field. The Packers are 6-1 at home and are due for a big day after looking lethargic last week in their 20-15 victory over the hapless Washington Redskins. Chicago has won 3 straight but all 3 of the wins were against teams with major issues. The Packers won the first meeting this year in Chicago, 10-3, and they are 18-5 against the Bears when Rodgers is the starter behind center. Pack get it done.
TODAY’S PICK: GREEN BAY PACKERS M/L
Saturday NHL Pick
The Los Angeles Kings are riding a rare 2-game winning streak but that should end tonight when they travel to PPG Paints Arena to face the Pittsburgh Penguins. Los Angeles has been awful on the road, going 3-12-1. The Kings will face a Penguins team that has won 4 of their last 5 and are 13-4-2 at PPG Paints. Pittsburgh is expected to have Tristan Jarry between the pipes and if he gets the nod that doesn’t bode well for LA. Jarry has a GAA of only 1.76 and a .941 SV% which is tops in the NHL.
TONIGHT’S PICK: PITTSBURGH PENGUINS

Thursday NHL Pick
The Tampa Bay Lightning will be hosting a Boston Bruins team tonight that has lost 4 in a row and are playing back-to-back games after a grueling matchup last night with the always physical Washington Capitals, so fatigue will be an issue for Boston. The Lightning have won 8 of the last 10 meetings with the Bruins and, if the Bolts play to their potential, they get this one.
TONIGHT’S PICK: TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING
Wednesday NHL Pick
Two teams that are surging, the Philadelphia Flyers and the Colorado Avalanche, will meet tonight when the Avs host the Flyers at Pepsi Center. Philadelphia is 6-1 in their last 7 but will be without their top scorer, Travis Konecny, who is sidelined with a concussion and that’s going to hurt. Colorado is 6-0-1 in their last 7. The Avalanche are tough at home, with a record of 8-3-2, and they are 8-1-2 against Eastern Conference teams.
TONIGHT’S PICK: COLORADO AVALANCHE
