The 6-6 New England Patriots are riding a 2-game winning streak and if they want to make it 3, they had better bring their A game tonight when they visit SoFi Stadium to face the Los Angeles Rams. The 8-4 Rams have won 3 of their last 4, with the 3 wins coming against quality opponents: Seattle Seahawks, Tampa Bay Bucs and the Arizona Cardinals. On both sides of the ball, the Rams are formidable. Their offense is ranked #3 in the league, averaging 395.3 yards a game, and their defense is ranked #2, allowing an average of just 291.3 yards per game. Cam Newton could be in for a rough night, facing the league’s best against the pass so the Pats will rely heavily on a run game that is averaging 150.9 yards per game but the Rams will have an answer for that. They are ranked #3 against the run, allowing a stingy 93.1 yards per game. Overall LA is the better team. They are 4-1 at home and have not forgotten Super Bowl LIII.

Tuesday NFL Pick
The Baltimore Ravens are on a 3-game skid but things are looking up for the Ravens with the Dallas Cowboys coming to town. Dallas has lost 5 of their last 6 and were blown out at home in their last outing by the Washington Football Team, 41-16. To make matters worse for the Cowboys, they will be without tackles Zack Martin and Cam Erving and that doesn’t bode well for the Boys when the Ravens have 27 sacks on the season. Baltimore is expected to have 7 players back tonight from Covid, including quarterback Lamar Jackson. Jackson has thrown for 15 TDs and rushed for 575 yards in 10 games. The Ravens are averaging 157.6 yards per game rushing and will be able to chew up yardage against a Dallas defense that is dead last against the run.
TONIGHT’S PICK: BALTIMORE RAVENS M/L
Monday NFL Pick
The early game in today’s doubleheader will be the Pittsburgh Steelers hosting the Washington Football Team. The Steelers, who are still unbeaten at 11-0, were not at peak performance in their last outing against Baltimore but as usual they found a way to win. Washington is 4-7 and 1-4 on the road. They are riding a 2-game winning streak but those wins were against the hapless Dallas Cowboys and the pathetic Cincinnati Bengals. Mike Tomlin made it evident that he was not happy with the Steelers’ sloppy play against Baltimore so he will have them focused and ready to go today.
TODAY’S PICK: PITTSBURGH STEELERS M/L
Sunday NFL Pick
The 3-8 Los Angeles Chargers are better than their record indicates and that will be evident today when they host the New England Patriots. The Chargers’ 8 losses have come by a combined total of just 42 points and with a bounce or two their way, they could easily be sitting at 8-3. LA’s offense is ranked #3 in the league, averaging 397.8 yards per game, and their rookie quarterback, Justin Herbert, is the real deal. He has thrown for 3,015 yards with 23 touchdowns and just 7 interceptions. Not bad for a rook. New England has just one road win on the season and Cam Newton does not seem to be the answer. Newton has thrown for only 1,984 yards, has just 4 touchdown passes and 9 interceptions. The only way the Bolts lose this game will be by the hands of their inept coaching staff that has no clue how to manage a clock and over and over make bad decisions.
TODAY’S PICK: LOS ANGELES CHARGERS M/L
Saturday NCAA Football Pick
The Georgia Southern Eagles perfect 5-0 home record will be in jeopardy tonight when they host the red hot Florida Atlantic Owls. The Owls are riding a 4-game winning streak and have held their opponents to a total of just 20 points over the 4 games. Now that is impressive. The Eagles offense is fueled by a running game that is averaging 267.6 yards per game but the Owls will have an answer for that, allowing a stingy 105.3 yards per game against the run. Florida Atlantic is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 as an underdog and 7-0 ATS in their last 7 against a team with a winning record.
TONIGHT’S PICK: FLORIDA ATLANTIC OWLS +2.5
Friday NCAA Football Pick
The 8-1 Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns have secured a spot in the Conference Championship game so expect a conservative game plan from them tonight when they visit the 7-2 Appalachian State Mountaineers. These teams match up well, with both teams having similar numbers, but the Mountaineers have dominated the Ragin’ Cajuns in recent years and are 5-0 at home.
