The first ever Frisco Football Classic will have the Miami-Ohio RedHawks squaring off against the North Texas Mean Green today in Frisco, Texas. The Mean Green are clicking at the right time and carry a 5-game winning streak going into today’s contest. They have a defense that has held their opponents to an average of just 17 points over the last 5 games and have a punishing running attack that is averaging 246.0 yards per game. The RedHawks get it done through the air and if the Mean Green can slow down their high powered passing attack, which they can do, they get this one. North Texas is 6-0 ATS in their last 6 and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 as an underdog. Miami (OH) is currently a 2½ point favorite but are just 2-5 ATS in their last 7 when they are giving. When you take them out of the MAC, the RedHawks are a dismal 4-13 ATS in their last 17. From Denton Texas to Frisco is a stone’s throw, so in essence this is a home game for North Texas and there will be a lot of Mean Green fans for support.
TODAY’S PICK: NORTH TEXAS MEAN GREEN +2½

Wednesday Men’s NCAA Basketball Pick
The Florida Gulf Coast Eagles will travel to Buffalo, New York, tonight to face the Canisius Golden Griffins. The 10-3 Eagles are riding a 4-game winning streak and covered the number in all 4. The 3-9 Golden Griffins are coming off a huge upset over the UB Bulls on Saturday but prior to that had lost 5 in a row and went 0-5 ATS during that span. Florida Gulf Coast scores more, gives up less, and should cover the 5 tonight.
TONIGHT’S PICK: FLORIDA GULF COAST EAGLES -5
Tuesday NCAA Football Pick
The Frisco Bowl in Frisco, Texas, will have the 11-2 San Diego State Aztecs pitted against the 12-1 Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners. The line in this game opened with San Antonio laying 2 but has flipped and San Diego State is now favored by 2½. The reason for this flip is the Roadrunners phenom of a running back, Sincere McCormick, has elected to enter the NFL draft and will not play. This is a big sting to the Roadrunners offense. McCormick set numerous school records, was named Conference USA Offensive Player of the Year, and rushed for 1,479 yards. Without McCormick, the Aztecs stingy defense will be able to slow down UTSA’s high-powered offense and San Diego will be able to move the ball against a mediocre, at best, Roadrunners D.
TONIGHT’S PICK: SAN DIEGO AZTECS M/L
Monday Men’s NCAA Basketball Pick
The St. Thomas (MN) Tommies will pay a visit to Baxter Arena tonight for a matchup with their Summit League rival, the Nebraska Omaha Mavericks. The Mavericks are the bottom feeders of the Summit, sitting in the #10 spot, with a dismal record of 1-10. The Tommies are in the #7 spot, with a record of 5-6, and should take care of business tonight. St. Thomas has the edge in points per game, field goal %, free throw %, defense and turnovers. Depending on where you shop, this line opened at -1½ Tommies and is now lurking around 3-3½. Don’t sweat the points and consider St. Thomas on the money line.
TONIGHT’S PICK: ST. THOMAS (MN) TOMMIES M/L
Sunday NFL Pick
Losing is not an option for the Pittsburgh Steelers, if they want to see the post-season, and I expect they will come out on top today when they host the Tennessee Titans. Tennessee is not the same team without RB Derrick Henry and that has been evident over their last three games. The Titans have only one win in their last three, with the solo win coming against the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars. The two losses were a thumping by the New England Patriots and a loss at home to the inept Houston Texans. The Steelers are always tough at Heinz Field, have won the last three meetings with the Titans, and Big Ben can still get it done.
TODAY’S PICK: PITTSBURGH STEELERS M/L
Saturday NHL Pick
The Dallas Stars are desperate for a win, after losing 5 straight, but that could end tonight when they host the Chicago Blackhawks. The Blackhawks are just 5-9-1 on the road and couldn’t take care of a Nashville team at home last night that had 8 players, and their entire coaching staff, out with Covid protocol. On the flip side, Dallas also took a loss last night to St. Louis but that was on the road. At American Airlines Center, they are 8-1 in their last 9 and 7-1 in their last 8 as a home favorite.
TONIGHT’S PICK: DALLAS STARS
Friday NHL Pick
The Vegas Golden Knights will be playing back-to-back games tonight when they visit MSG for a meeting with the New York Rangers, but keep in mind they played the Devils last night in Newark which is a stone’s throw from Manhattan so they are not catching a flight or changing hotel rooms and that does make a difference. With that said, New York has been struggling of late, going 2-3 over their last 5, and may be without their top point getter, Artemi Panarin, and if he doesn’t lace up that will hurt. With last night’s win, Vegas has now won 3 straight, 6 of their last 7, and are 4-1 in their last 5 meetings with the Rangers. The Golden Knights are too hot not to consider.
TONIGHT’S PICK: VEGAS GOLDEN KNIGHTS
