Saturday NFL Pick

The Buffalo Bills will be hosting their archrival tonight, the Miami Dolphins. Western New York is expecting temps in the 20’s with heavy snow and wind gusts to 35 miles per hour. Miami’s gunslinger, Tua Tagovailoa, does not fare well in cold weather. The Dolphins are 0-3 in their last 3, with Tagovailoa at the helm, when the temp is under 50 degrees. The Bills’ record speaks for itself, and with Josh Allen leading the way, how do you not consider Buffalo?
TONIGHT’S PICK: BUFFALO BILLS -7

Friday Men’s NCAA Basketball Pick

The Manhattan Jaspers should snap their 3-game skid tonight when they host the Central Connecticut State Blue Devils. The Blue Devils are 1-10 overall and winless on the road, at 0-6. When away from New Britain, Central Connecticut is averaging 66.7 points per game and allowing 83.2. The Jaspers come into this one at 3-6 overall and are 2-2 at Draddy Gymnasium. In the Bronx, Manhattan is averaging 77 points per game and allowing 68. The Jaspers are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 and should cover the 3½, but don’t sweat the points when the M/L is -175.
TONIGHT’S PICK: MANHATTAN JASPERS M/L

Thursday NHL Pick

The Montréal Canadiens lost a close one to the Ottawa Senators last night, 3-2, but I expect they will get back on track tonight when they return home to host the Anaheim Ducks. The Ducks are the worst team in hockey. Anaheim is 7-20-3 overall and a dismal 2-13-3 on the road. They have also lost 3 straight and have been outscored 16-1 during that span. Not good. The Canadiens are a respectable 14-13-2 and 7-7 at home. They have also won 5 of the last 6 meetings with the Ducks at Bell Centre and the home team is 13-3 in the last 16 meetings. Good value on the Habs at the current price of -150.
TONIGHT’S PICK: MONTRÉAL CANADIENS

Wednesday Men’s NCAA Basketball Pick

The Nevada Wolf Pack will be in the friendly confines of Lawlor Center tonight when they host the UC San Diego Tritons. The Pack reside in the Mountain West Conference where they are 8-3, a perfect 4-0 in Reno, and have covered all 4. The Tritons compete in the Big West Conference, where they are just 4-5, and they will be outclassed tonight. Nevada is averaging 79.8 points per game at home and allowing an average of only 57.8. UCSD is averaging 67.0 points on the road and allowing an average of 73.8. The Pack are currently laying 14 but don’t let the number scare you. If they want to cover, they will.
TONIGHT’S PICK: NEVADA WOLF PACK -14

Tuesday NHL Pick

The New Jersey Devils are on a rare 2-game losing streak and will look to get back on track tonight when they host the Dallas Stars. The Devils lost yesterday to the Rangers, 4-3, at MSG, due to sloppy and lethargic play, and Coach Ruff will make sure that doesn’t happen again tonight. Dallas also played last night, falling to the Pittsburgh Penguins in Pittsburgh, 2-1. The Devils are an impressive 10-4-1 at Prudential Center and do not have to travel, with Jersey a stone’s throw from MSG. The Stars however do, and on zero days rest they are 0-4 in their last 4.
TONIGHT’S PICK: NEW JERSEY DEVILS

Monday NHL Pick

The Pittsburgh Penguins will go for 6 straight wins tonight when they host the Dallas Stars. PPG Paints Arena has been very good to Pittsburgh. They are 8-3-2 at home and are 4-1 in their last 5 in Pitt against the Stars. The Penguins are hot, ride them ’til they are not.
TONIGHT’S PICK: PITTSBURGH PENGUINS

Sunday NFL Pick

There will be a Black and Blue Division matchup today at Ford Field when the Detroit Lions host the Minnesota Vikings. Detroit might be 5-7 on the season but they are a lot better than their record reflects. The Lions are coming off a 40-14 pummeling of the Jacksonville Jaguars and have won 4 of their last 5 with their only loss to the hands of the best team in football, the Buffalo Bills, in a close one, 28-25. Minnesota is 10-2 but I am still not sold on them. They have a defense that is shaky at best and Jared Goff should expose that today. Goff has thrown for 3,022 yards with 19 TDs and the Lions are averaging 369.1 yards per game.
TODAY’S PICK: DETROIT LIONS M/L
