The Arizona Diamondbacks are in need of a win. The Snakes have lost 4 straight but will be home tonight when they host the St. Louis Cardinals. The Texas Rangers remain hot, winning Game 1 of their 3-game set with the Tampa Bay Rays last night at Globe Life Field, and have now won 4 straight. The AL West-leading Rangers will send their ace and All-Star Nathan Eovaldi to the hill for tonight’s matchup. The ex-Ray’s numbers speak for themselves. He is 10-3 with a 2.83 ERA and a 1.02 WHIP. The expected starter for Tampa is rookie Taj Bradley and he has struggled. Bradley is 5-5 with a 5.43 ERA, a 1.39 WHIP, and over his last 3 he is 0-2 with a bloated ERA of 11.68. Texas should get to Bradley tonight like they did on June 10th when they lit him up for 5 runs over 3-2/3 innings, going onto a 8-4 victory. The Rangers are #1 in the Majors in runs per game, run differential, batting average, hits, and are 31-18 in Arlington.
