The Dallas Cowboys were embarrassed by the Buffalo Bills in their last outing and will walk into the Hard Rock Stadium today with their tail between their legs when they take on the Miami Dolphins. The Cowboys however are a resilient team and have Dak Prescott at the helm.
TODAY’S PICK: DALLAS COWBOYS +2
Month: December 2023
Saturday NFL Pick
The Buffalo Bills are on a roll, and they will be in LA tonight to face the banged up Los Angeles Chargers. Losing is not an option for the Bills if they want to make the postseason and they are well aware of that. The Bills are the best 8-6 team out there and one of the best in the league. Since Buffalo fired their inept OC Ken Dorsey and promoted Joe Brady, the Bills have scored a ridiculous 117 points over their last 4 games. Buffalo is coming off a 31-10 blowout win over the Dallas Cowboys and prior to that they walked into Arrowhead and took down the Chiefs. The Chargers are a mess. After they were embarrassed by the Raiders in a 63-21 loss, they finally came to their senses and fired HC Brandon Staley and GM Tom Telesco. The Chargers will be without their star quarterback, Justin Herbert, star receiver Keenan Allen, and linebacker Joey Bosa. Buffalo is not taking this one for granted and will show no mercy on LA.
TONIGHT’S PICK: BUFFALO BILLS -12
Friday NHL Pick
Two of the original six will meet tonight when the Chicago Blackhawks host the Montréal Canadiens. Chicago is tied with San Jose for the fewest points in the league (21) and even with the next hockey great on their side, the young phenom Connor Bedard, they still find a way to lose. The 14-13-5 Canadiens play better on the road than at home with an impressive record of 7-4-3. The Habs have also won the last three meetings with the Blackhawks, score more goals than Chicago, and give up less.
TONIGHT’S PICK: MONTREAL CANADIENS
Thursday NHL Pick
The Ottawa Senators fired their head coach, DJ Smith, but they are still doing what they do best and that is losing. The bottom feeding Sens have lost 5 straight, are 11-16-0 overall and just 3-7-0 on the road. Tonight they will face the Colorado Avalanche in the mountains and that is not easy. The Avs are 19-11-2, 12-4-0 at home, and they have had the Senators number, winning 5 of the last 6 meetings overall and the last 4 against them at Ball Arena.
TONIGHT’S PICK: COLORADO AVALANCHE
Wednesday Men’s NCAA Basketball Pick
The Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons will be a huge road dog tonight when they visit Petersen Events Center and the Pittsburgh Panthers. Fort Wayne is getting no respect in this one because they play in the Horizon League but that is a mistake. The Mastodons are 11-1 and #1 in the Horizon. They have been blowing out their opponents with an offensive attack that is averaging 86.8 points per game. Pitt is 8-3, #8 in the ACC, and will have a run for their money tonight.
TONIGHT’S PICK: PURDUE FORT WAYNE MASTODONS +14½
Tuesday NHL Pick
After a disappointing road trip where they went 2-3, the Tampa Bay Lightning will be glad to be back home tonight when they host the St. Louis Blues. The Lightning, who are just 6-10-2 on the road, are a different team when they hit the ice at Amalie Arena, owning an impressive 8-3-3 record. Since the firing of coach Craig Berube last Tuesday, the Blues have won two straight under interim coach Drew Bannister and that is usually the case after a firing, but it never lasts and neither will this one. The Blues are 9-5-0 at Enterprise Center but on the road they are a dismal 6-9-1.
TONIGHT’S PICK: TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING
Monday Men’s NCAA Basketball Pick
The Quinnipiac Bobcats will be in Worcester, Mass. tonight for a matchup with the Holy Cross Crusaders. The Bobcats are 7-3 and #3 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. The Crusaders have lost four straight and sit in the #8 spot in the Patriot League with a record of 2-8. The Bobcats should have no problem taking care of business tonight. They are averaging 78.8 points per game as opposed to the Crusaders’ 64.3. Quinn is allowing an average of 73.1 points per game while Holy Cross is allowing an average of 79.3. The Bobcats also have the edge in 3-pointers, free throw %, steals, blocked shots, and the list goes on and on.
TONIGHT’S PICK: QUINNIPIAC BOBCATS M/L
