Thursday NHL Pick

After a successful road trip where they won two of three, the Tampa Bay Lightning will return home tonight to face the Buffalo Sabres. Usually returning to Amalie Arena is a good thing for the Bolts but they have lost three straight in Tampa. The Sabres have been playing well and have a road record of 14-12-3. However, Tampa is still 18-8-3 at Amalie Arena and won the last meeting with the Sabres in Buffalo, 3-1 back on January 20th. Do the Bolts lose their fourth straight at home? I doubt it.
TONIGHT’S PICK: TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING

Wednesday Men’s NCAA Basketball Pick

The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers will be a home dog when they host the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs tonight in Bowling Green. These are two of the elite in the C-USA with the Bulldogs owning the top spot and the Hilltoppers coming in at third. Western Kentucky has no issue with scoring, averaging 80 points per game, and as the home team they are 12-1. They already beat the Bulldogs this year in Ruston LA, 81-76, and they were a huge underdog at +9.5. The Hilltoppers are not getting the respect they deserve once again but that’s okay. Keep in mind they are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 home games.
TONIGHT’S PICK: WESTERN KENTUCKY HILLTOPPERS +2½

Tuesday Men’s NCAA Basketball Pick

The Nevada Wolf Pack will take a 3-game winning streak to Fort Collins tonight to face their Mountain West rival, the Colorado State Rams. These two teams match up well in every category so this will not be a walk in the park for either side. The Pack have won the last two meetings with the Rams, including a convincing 77-64 win back on January 24th, so why then are the Rams currently laying 7.5? That’s too much chalk. Is this a trap to take the Pack? We are going to find out.
TONIGHT’S PICK: NEVADA WOLF PACK +7½

Monday NHL Pick

The Central Division leading Dallas Stars will be at home tonight to take on the struggling New York Islanders. The Isles enter tonight’s game 10-12-5 on the road and have just one win in their last six tries. The Stars, who are 17-8-3 at American Airlines Center, have had trouble of late finding the back of the net but are coming off a 2-1 victory on the road against a really good Carolina Hurricanes team. The Stars fell to the Isles in their last meeting back on January 21st, 3-2 in OT, but that was in New York. Dallas has won the last two matchups at home against New York and the Stars offense is due for a big night.
TONIGHT’S PICK: DALLAS STARS

Sunday Men’s NCAA Basketball Pick

The #1 seed in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, the Quinnipiac Bobcats, have hit a bump in the road, losers of their last 3, but they should get back on track today when they visit the #7 seed Rider Broncos. The Bobcats have owned the Broncs, winning the last 7 meetings, and have the edge in points scored, points allowed, 3-pointers, free throws, etc., etc., etc. Depending on where you shop, the line is currently Quinnipiac -1.5 with a money line of only -110 so the decision is obvious. Consider the Bobcats on the money line.
TODAY’S PICK: QUINNIPIAC BOBCATS M/L

Saturday NHL Pick

The New York Rangers are riding a 9-game winning streak and will be a road favorite today when they head to Broad Street to take on the Philadelphia Flyers. The Flyers are also playing really good hockey. They are 5-2 over their last 7 with the two losses coming on the road against some stiff competition, the Toronto Maple Leafs which went to OT, and the New Jersey Devils. The Flyers always play well at home in Saturday matinées and winning streaks don’t last forever. Consider the Bullies.
TODAY’S PICK: PHILADELPHIA FLYERS

Friday Men’s NCAA Basketball Pick

The two best teams in the Ivy League will meet tonight in Ithaca, NY when the Cornell Big Red host the Yale Bulldogs. The Bulldogs won the last meeting on February 10th in a close one, 80-78, but that was at Yale. As the home team, the Big Red are 9-0 and can light it up. They are averaging 83.6 points per game and will have payback on their minds. The line is currently Cornell -2.5 with a money line of only -135. Don’t sweat the hook.
TONIGHT’S PICK: CORNELL BIG RED M/L
