The Los Angeles Chargers will be a home dog today when they host the Denver Broncos. The Bolts are still winless, at 0-4, but they will get in the Win column today.

The 4-1 Florida Gators will be in Gainesville today to take on the 2-3 South Carolina Gamecocks. The Gators are going to put a death roll on these guys. Lay the points.
TODAY’S PICK: FLORIDA GATORS -10½
Friday NHL Pick
The Pittsburgh Penguins have lost two straight and will look to get back on the rails tonight when they visit Nationwide Arena and the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Penguins are averaging more goals per game than the Jackets, allowing less, and still have the Kid.
TONIGHT’S PICK: PITTSBURGH PENGUINS
Thursday NHL Pick
The Ottawa Senators will host the struggling Philadelphia Flyers tonight in their home opener at Canadian Tire Centre. The Sens went 2-1-0 on the road to start the season, are averaging 3.33 goals per game, and allowing an average of 2.67. The Flyers are still winless at 0-2-2 and have had trouble both finding the back of the net and stopping their opponents from finding it. The Broad Street Bullies are averaging just 1.25 goals per game while allowing an average of 4.25. Ottawa is expected to have Linus Ullmark between the pipes and he has been outstanding. Ullmark is 2-0 with a GAA of only 1.20 and a .949 SV%. The Senators usually come out on top when they play the Flyers, having won the last 5 meetings.
TONIGHT’S PICK: OTTAWA SENATORS
Wednesday MLB Pick
The New York Yankees are on the verge of being swept by the Tampa Bay Rays in the ALDS, down 0-2 in the Best of 5, but the series now heads to the Bronx for the next two if necessary. The Yankees committed 4 errors in Monday’s 5-2 loss and that is unacceptable. Aaron Boone needs to start being a manager and hold these guys accountable instead of always trying to be their buddy and defending their blunders. Tonight southpaw Max Fried will get the nod for New York. Fried delivered in Game 2 of the ALWC series against the Chicago Cubs, allowing only 3 hits and 1 run over 6 frames, and the Yankees closed out the series with a 9-2 victory. Nick Martinez will be called upon to throw strikes for Tampa. Martinez had excellent numbers in the regular season at 15-5 with a 2.94 ERA and a 1.07 WHIP but was on the losing end when he last faced New York on September 22nd. The Yankees need to take a lesson from the Rays.: play fundamental baseball, don’t always swing for the fences, and they might win this one.
TONIGHT’S PICK: NEW YORK YANKEES
Tuesday MLB Pick
The San Diego Padres could easily be up 2-0 in the NLDS Best of 5 against the Milwaukee Brewers but find themselves on the brink of elimination. Tonight however the series heads to San Diego for Game 3 (and Game 4 if necessary) and the Padres are not dead in the water just yet. They were dominant in the regular season at Petco Park with a record of 51-30 and the last time they faced the Brewers in San Diego the Padres swept them in a 3-game set. The Padres live to see another day.
TONIGHT’S PICK: SAN DIEGO PADRES
Monday MLB Pick
The New York Yankees find themselves down 1-0 to the Tampa Bay Rays in the ALDS after Saturday’s 1-0 loss at the Trop. Tonight in Game 2 in St. Pete, the Yankees will try to even the score and they have the right guy on the mound to accomplish that with Cam Schlittler getting the start. Schlittler was lethal in the regular season and that has traversed into the postseason. In Game 1 of the AL Wild Card against the Boston Red Sox the right-hander was in the zone once again allowing only 2 hits, 0 runs, with 10 punch outs over 6-1/3 innings of work and the Yankees went on to an 9-0 shellacking. The Rays are expected to send Freddy Peralta to the hill and even the Yankees’ lethargic bats who mustered just 1 hit in Saturday’s loss should be able to get to him. Peralta was 10-11 in the regular season with an elevated 4.42 ERA and a 1.33 WHIP. The Yankees might be on the road, but when they play at the Trop it isn’t really. There will be more New York fans in attendance than Tampa Bay fans, I guarantee you that. The Bombers even the score.
