The Tampa Bay Rays and the Milwaukee Brewers kick off the World Series tonight at American Family Field. Tampa is a big road dog in this one, as to be expected. The Brewers will send their ace, Jacob Misiorowski, to the hill. The lock for the NL CY Young award was dominant in the regular season but has been shaky in his two post-season starts. In both games, the Miz had to work out of trouble resulting in a 3.24 ERA and a 1.58 WHIP over just 8.1 innings of work. Nick Martinez will get the start for the Rays. In Martinez’s two post-season starts the Rays won both games. In his last turn in the ALCS against Cleveland he dominated, allowing only 1 run on 2 hits over 5-1/3 frames and Tampa went on to a 7-3 win. The Rays play old school baseball and that translates into wins.
