With last night’s 6-4 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Winnipeg Jets have now lost seven straight games. Tonight they will make the short trip from Tampa to Sunrise to face the Florida Panthers. These two teams met just three days ago in Winnipeg with the Jets coming up on the short end of the stick. In Tuesday’s game, the Jets outshot the Panthers 25-24 but had Clay Stevenson between the pipes and this guy would have trouble stopping a basketball. Tonight however Nico Daws is expected between the pipes for Winnipeg and Florida who averages just 3 goals a game won’t have it so easy. Daws is 2-2-0 with a GAA of only 2.59. The Jets are better than their record reflects. They are a respectable 2-2-2 on the road, are a huge dog in this one, and don’t be surprised if they come away with the win.
