Friday NHL Pick

The Florida Panthers will be a home dog tonight when they host the Carolina Hurricanes in Sunrise. Both teams are firing on every cylinder. Florida has won 3 straight and 6 of their last 7. Carolina has won 5 straight and 6 of their last 7 but keep in mind 3 of those wins were shootout wins and could have gone either way. Florida boasts an 11-6-2 record at American Bank Arena, has won 6 of the last 8 meetings with the ‘Canes, and will not take kindly to being a home underdog. Consider the champs.
TONIGHT’S PICK: FLORIDA PANTHERS

Thursday NHL Pick

The Washington Capitals have lost three straight but they should get back in the Win column tonight when they return home to face the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Caps have dominated at Capital One Arena with a record of 10-5-2 and are expected to have Logan Thompson between the pipes. Thompson has a GAA of only 2.09 and should keep Auston Matthews and company in check. Both the Leafs and Caps can score but Toronto has a hard time stopping the puck which will be the difference maker in this game.
TONIGHT’S PICK: WASHINGTON CAPITALS

Wednesday NHL Pick

The Metropolitan-leading Carolina Hurricanes are on a roll, winning 4 straight, and they will look to make it 5 when they visit Bridgestone Arena and the Nashville Predators. Whether at home or on the road, the ‘Canes are a force to deal with, posting a road record of 10-4-1. They will be facing a Predators team that seems to be turning things around. Nashville has won 5 of their last 7 but are no match for one of the NHL’s best. Carolina has the edge in goals scored, goals allowed, and won easily in their last meeting on Dec 6th, 6-3.
TONIGHT’S PICK: CAROLINA HURRICANES

Tuesday NHL Pick

The 16-14-4 New York Rangers will host the 12-17-3 Vancouver Canucks tonight at the Garden. For whatever reason, New York has not played well at home but that will change. The Rangers have had the Canucks’ number, winning the last 3 meetings and 6 of the last 7. Neither team puts up a lot of tallies but the Rangers have a huge edge in goals allowed (2.76) as opposed to Vancouvers’ 3.50. They are also expected to have Jonathan Quick between the pipes and he has a GAA of only 1.86 with a .937 SV%.
TONIGHT’S PICK: NEW YORK RANGERS

Monday NHL Pick

The Winnipeg Jets looked impressive on Saturday when they cruised to a 5-1 victory over a really good Washington Capitals team. Tonight they will try to build off of that win when they host the Ottawa Senators at Canada Life Centre. The Jets have had the Sen’s number, winning six of the last seven meetings, and are catching an Ottawa team that has just two wins in their last eight tries.
TONIGHT’S PICK: WINNIPEG JETS

Sunday NFL Pick

The New England Patriots will seek their 11th straight win and the AFC East crown when they host the Buffalo Bills today in Foxboro, but it will be a challenge. The Patriots have won 10 straight but their schedule has been relatively easy with the exception of the Bills who were out of sync when they fell 23-20 to New England back on October 5th. The Bills’ Josh Allen is going to be a factor both running and passing, that is a given, and running back James Cook has been off the charts, rushing for 1,308 yards. Buffalo is healthy and has won the AFC East title the last 5 years. It’s their crown and they will not relinquish it without a fight.
TODAY’S PICK: BUFFALO BILLS M/L

Saturday NHL Pick

The Dallas Stars will host the Florida Panthers tonight at American Airlines Center. The 21-6-5 Stars have lost 5 straight to the champs so they will be extra motivated tonight to end that trend. Dallas at home has not been kind to visitors with a record of 10-4-1 and that doesn’t bode well for the Panthers who are just 5-7-0 on the road. Dallas scores more goals per game than Florida and gives up a lot less.
TONIGHT’S PICK: DALLAS STARS
