Wednesday NHL Pick

The Tampa Bay Lightning snapped their 4-game skid on Monday by shutting out a very good Dallas Stars team, 4-0, in Tampa. Tonight they will once again be in the friendly confines of Amalie Arena, where they are an impressive 7-3-3. The Lightning will face the Pittsburgh Penguins and have payback on their minds. Pittsburgh won the last meeting in Tampa last Thursday, 4-2. Stamkos and company aren’t going to let that happen again. The Penguins are just 3-7 over their last 10 but have won 5 straight against the Bolts. Trends end.
TONIGHT’S PICK: TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING

Sunday NFL Pick

The San Francisco 49ers are a road favorite today when they visit the Philadelphia Eagles, and they should be. The Eagles have not been blowing anyone out of the water. They were lucky to get a win last week against the Bills and before that against the Chiefs. SF is the most complete team in the league. Their defense is stellar and they have Brock Purdy at the helm. Purdy has thrown for 2,871 yards with 19 touchdowns. They also have a guy named Christian McCaffrey, who is the best player in the league hands down. Purdy and company get it done.
TODAY’S PICK: SAN FRANCISCO 49ers M/L

Saturday NHL Pick

The Florida Panthers will be at home tonight in Sunrise to take on the New York Islanders. The Cats are all healthy, 7-3-0 at home, and 5-1 in the last 6 meetings with the Isles.

The Niagara Purple Eagles will be at home tonight in Lewiston, New York, to take on Saint Peter’s Peacocks. Both teams are not going to the big dance. That is a given. Niagara is 1-3 and Saint Peter’s is 1-4. The Purple Eagles are averaging 67.3 points per game and the Peacocks are averaging 61 points per game. You have to side with the home team in these situations. Niagara gets their first win of the season at Gallagher Center.
