Sunday NFL Divisional Playoff Pick

The Pittsburgh Steelers will try to get one step closer to their 9th Super Bowl appearance but they will have to get past the Kansas City Chiefs at an always hostile Arrowhead Stadium. The Steelers are riding an 8-game winning streak and are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games, 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall and 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 divisional playoff games. The Chiefs have struggled in post-season play, going 1-7 ATS in their last 8 playoff games, and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 home playoff games. When these two teams met on October 2nd, Roethlisberger threw for 5 touchdown passes and Le’Veon Bell rushed for 144 yards on 18 carries in a 43-14 rout at Heinz Field. Roethlisberger has been down this road before, with 18 post-season starts under his belt, as opposed to Alex Smith with just 5. Big Ben and the Steelers are always a good bet in post-season play.

Tonight’s pick:

Pittsburgh Steelers +1.5

Thursday Men’s NCAA Basketball Pick

The Eastern Washington Eagles, who are 10-6 on the season, will travel to Holt Arena tonight to take on the 3-12 Idaho State Bengals. The Eagles are ranked 167th in offensive field goal percentage and are 6-2 ATS in the last 8 meetings in Idaho State. The Bengals are ranked 285th in offensive field goal percentage and are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Eagles have the edge in points per game, field goal percentage, free throw percentage, defense, rebounding, turnovers and bench. I’m going to side with the Eagles on the money line in this one.

Tonight’s pick:

Eastern Washington Eagles M/L

Wednesday Men’s NCAA Basketball Pick

The 10-5 St. Bonaventure Bonnies will head south to Virginia tonight to take on the 9-6 Richmond Spiders. The Bonnies are 2-0 on the road, where they are averaging 85.0 points per game and holding teams to an average of 76.0. St. Bonny can cover – they are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 road games and 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games as an underdog. The Spiders have a home record of 5-3, where they are averaging 72.0 points per game and holding teams to an average of 69.4. Richmond is just 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 home games and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 home games against a team with a winning record. I’ll take the 4 points and side with the Western New Yorkers in this one.

Tonight’s pick:

St. Bonaventure Bonnies +4

Tuesday NHL Pick

I like the Anaheim Ducks chances for a victory tonight when they host the Dallas Stars at Honda Center. The Ducks dropped the first 2 meetings between these clubs, falling 6-2 and 4-2, but that was in Dallas. The Ducks are 13-5-2 at home and have won 3 out of their last 4 at Honda Center. John Gibson is expected between the pipes for Anaheim and he is 15-10-7 with a GAA of 2.46 and a .915 SV%. The Stars are expected to counter with Antti Niemi and he is 8-6-4 with a GAA of 2.93 and a SV% of .908. Dallas is 6-10-4 on the road and just 1-5 in their last 6 in Anaheim. Ryan Getzlaf is questionable tonight for Anaheim due to a lower body strain. With or without Getzy, I like the Ducks chances in this one.

Tonight’s pick:

Anaheim Ducks

Monday NCAA Men’s Basketball Pick

The road dog Quinnipiac Bobcats will make the short trek from Connecticut to New Jersey tonight to take on the St. Peter’s Peacocks. The Bobcats come into this game 2-3 on the road, averaging 72.2 points per game, and holding teams to 75.4. The Peacocks own a home record of 3-3, where they are averaging 68.3 points per game and holding teams to an average of 67.7 points. Quinnipiac is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 against the Metro Atlantic and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games. The Bobcats can put up some numbers, and if they are on, they should be able to get under the number against a tough St. Peter’s defense.

Tonight’s pick:

Quinnipiac Bobcats +7

Sunday NHL Pick

The Columbus Blue Jackets were the winners of 16 straight games but since that run, they have dropped two in a row. Today they can get back on track when they host the Philadelphia Flyers at Nationwide Arena. The Flyers are playing back-to-back games after knocking off the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-2 in a matinee yesterday. Philadelphia has struggled against Columbus, going 2-8 in the last 10 meetings, and they are 0-8 in their last 8 at Nationwide Arena. I like Columbus in this spot.

Today’s pick:

Columbus Blue Jackets
