The Chicago White Sox return home tonight after a 6 game road trip to host the Los Angeles Angels. The Angels were swept over the weekend by, of all teams, the Minnesota Twins. Los Angeles is still stinging after blowing a 2-0 lead only to lose 3-2 in 12 innings yesterday. Two lefties go at it tonight, with Hector Santiago getting the nod for the Halos and Carlos Rodon for Chicago. Santiago is 0-0 with an ERA of 3.95 and a WHIP of 1.02, and Rodon is 1-1 with an ERA of 1.38 and a WHIP of 1.23. Fatigue could be an issue for the Angels tonight. Siding with Chicago.

Sunday Hockey Pick

The Anaheim Ducks look to even up the series tonight at home against the Nashville Predators. Nashville is 2-5 in the last 7 in Anaheim, and the home teams are 4-1 in the last 5 meetings. Boudreau is not announcing who will tend the net yet but that shouldn’t matter. No fluke goals for the Predators tonight. Ducks should win.

The Minnesota Wild and the Dallas Stars kick off their best of seven series tonight at American Airlines Center in Dallas. The Stars have been hot at home, going 6-0 over their last 6 and are 4-0 in their last 4 against the Central. Tyler Seguin who had tallied 33 goals before being sidelined on March 17 with a cut Achilles tendon has been cleared to play tonight for Dallas. The Wild have struggled in Dallas, posting a 5-22 record in their last 27 and are 1-4 in their last 5 meetings. Tonight the Wild will be without 25 goal scorer Zach Parise, 18 goal scorer Thomas Vanek, and 14 goal scorer Erik Hauler, due to injuries. Too many weapons out for the Wild, siding with Lindy Ruff and the Stars.

Patrick Corbin pitched a gem and Paul Goldschmidt delivered with the bat as the Arizona Diamondbacks spoiled the Dodgers’ home opener. The Dodgers will look to redeem themselves tonight in the second leg of a three teamer at Chavez Ravine. Arizona is expected to send the ex-Dodger Rubby De La Rosa to the bump tonight. De La Rosa has struggled against his old team, going 0-3 with an ERA of 11.21. The Dodgers are expected to send the lefty Alex Wood to the hill tonight. The D-Backs are 0-4 in their last 4 against southpaws and they are just 4-15 in their last 19 in Los Angeles. I like the Dodgers in this one.
