Saturday NCAAF Picks

Let’s keep it rolling with the dog picks. We had Temple and San Diego State – both dogs and they won. I like these dogs today, listed in no particular order. Pick one or all.

Today’s picks:

South Alabama
Army
Colorado
Boston College
Kansas State
Vanderbilt
Kent State

NCAAF Friday Pick

Not as sure on this one as I was with the Temple game last night but I’m leaning toward San Diego State over Utah State. The line opened at -5 Utah State and dropped to -3.5. The Aztecs are at home, getting points and are 4-0-1 ATS in games in October.

Tonight’s pick:

San Diego State Aztecs

Friday ALCS Game 6 Pick

The Toronto Blue Jays travel Kansas City to take on the Royals where it is a win-or-go-golfing situation. The lefty David Price gets the call tonight for the Jays and he is well rested. David Price is a top 5 (or better) pitcher. People forget he won 18 games this year and all that’s talked about is his 0-7 lifetime post season record. I like Price to win this one, get the monkey off his back, and force a game 7.

Tonight’s pick:

Toronto Blue Jays

Thursday NCAAF Pick

The Temple Owls take their 6-0 record to East Carolina tonight to take on the Pirates. The Owls are ranked for the first time (24th) since 1979. These 2 teams met last year and Temple prevailed 20-10. The Owls are 5-2 against the spread in their last 7 road games against a team with a winning record. Temple has the edge in points per game, yards allowed, time of possession, kicking and penalties against. I’ll take the road team here and the 3 points.

Today’s NCAAF pick:

Temple Owls

Wednesday ALCS Pick

Toronto was embarrassed yesterday, allowing the Royals to score 14 runs. That should give the Jays some extra incentive to push a game 6 to Kansas City. Volquez gets the nod for the Royals and in his 2 regular season starts this year at Rogers Centre he was 0-2 with an ERA of 6.10. Estrada starts for the Jays and he’s done well at home, going 5-2 in his last 7 starts. If needed, Price is available in the bullpen. Pack your bags, Joey Bats.

Today’s ALCS pick:

Toronto Blue Jays

ALCS Game 4 Pick

The Toronto Blue Jays’ bats finally erupted last night, scoring 11 runs against the visiting Kansas City Royals. Dickey gets the start for the Jays and he has been sensational since the All Star break. The Jays are 6-1 in Dickey’s last 7 home starts, and 12-3 in his last 15 overall. The 6’10” ex-Padre Young gets the start for the Royals, and as good as he’s been, he does not have the velocity he once had on his fastball, topping out at around 86 miles an hour. The Jays should be able to get around on Young today.

Today’s pick:

Toronto Blue Jays

NHL Pick

San Jose Sharks take on the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden tonight. Martin is tending net for the Sharks and he’s been red hot, not losing a game, posting 3 shutouts and allowing only 1 goal this season. In San Jose’s last 4 road games, they’ve won 4 straight first periods.

Tonight’s pick:

San Jose Sharks
