Monday ALCS PICK

The Royals travel north of the border tonight for game 3 of the ALCS. The Jays will be glad to be back home, after dropping 2 in Kansas City. Rogers Centre is more suited for their style of baseball. Royals have not done well in Toronto, posting 1-5 in their last 6 meetings there. Cueto gets the start for the Royals and they are 1-6 in his last 7 road starts, and 0-4 in his last 4 starts against AL East teams. Stroman goes for the Jays and Toronto is 6-1 in his last 7 starts, and 5-1 in his last 6 home starts. Toronto needs this win.

Sunday Hockey Pick

The Devils are at the Garden today taking on the Rangers, and I see this game going under. You’ve got two stud goalies, Schneider for the Devils and Lundqvist for the Rangers. This should fall below 5.

Saturday ALCS Game

They say Price can’t win in the post-season but today, the lefty will get the monkey off his back in Missouri. Jays are 5-0 in Price’s last 5 road starts.

Today’s pick:

Toronto Blue Jays

Friday ALCS Pick

The Toronto Blue Jays visit Kansas City tonight to take on the Royals for the first game of the ALCS. These teams do not like each other. In August the dugouts almost cleared when Volquez went head hunting for Donaldson. Volquez starts tonight for the Royals and they are 1-4 in his last 5 starts. The Royals are 2-5 in their last 7 against a right handed pitcher, and tonight they’ll face the righty Estrada. He is 4-1 in his last 5 road starts and the Jays are 13-3 over their last 16 games against American League Central teams. The Jays have the edge in starting pitching, bullpen, power, and bench. Joey Bats and company want revenge.

Tonight’s pick:

Toronto Blue Jays

Thursday NLDS Pick

Tough call tonight as the New York Mets travel to Los Angeles to see who advances to the NLCS. Two stud pitchers are going at it tonight with Zack Greinke for the Dodgers and Jacob deGrom for the Mets. I’m siding with the home team in this one. Los Angeles is 20-4 in Greinke’s last 24 home games against a team with a winning record. The Dodgers are 8-2 in their last 10 Thursday games and 6-0 in Greinke’s last 6 Thursday starts. For the Mets, deGrom is 2-5 in his last 7 Thursday starts. The Dodgers have the edge in bullpen, hitting, speed, defense and bench. Good luck tonight!
