Monday Baseball Picks

Tonight I like 3 games. First I’m taking Tanaka and the Yankees. In Tanaka’s last 3 starts, he has an ERA of 1.33 and a WIP of 0.64 and the Yanks have won all 3 games. Yanks are playing good ball with a 7-3 record over their last 10. The Marlins have Koehler pitching, with an ERA over his last three of 5.8 and a WHIP of 1.76. The Marlins are 0-9 in their last 9 Monday games and 2-6 in their last 8 inter-league games. The Marlins will also be playing without Prado tonight (shoulder injury).

Next, I’m going with the Astros at home tonight with Keuchel on the hill. The Astros are 13-5 in their last 18 at home and the Rockies are 12-30 in their last 42 in Houston.

For the last game, I like Volquez and the Royals.

Today’s picks:

New York Yankees
Houston Astros
Kansas City Royals

Sunday Baseball Pick

Look for San Fran to end its 3 game skid today at home, with the young ace Heston on the mound. His last outing was a no-hitter and he’s been stellar this year. He’s commanding a 1.19 WHIP and 3.77 ERA. De La Rosa for Arizona has a 1.28 WHIP and 5.84 ERA. Arizona is 3-8 in their last 11 Sunday games. Giants have the edge in starting pitching, bullpen, hitting, power and bench. They should get the win today.

Today’s pick:

San Francisco Giants

Saturday Baseball Pick

I’m rolling with the Rays today. Archer is “lights out” at home. The Sox are 11-16 in day games and Tampa is 8-8. Sox are 12-19 on the road. Archer has an ERA of 1.84 and a WHIP of 0.95. Samardzija has an ERA of 4.93 and a WHIP of 1.36.

Today’s pick:

Tampa Bay Rays

Friday Baseball Picks

I’m taking Yankees with Pineda because they win when he’s on the bump. I also like Pirates. No stats since I’m on vacation but I’ll be back in full swing soon.

Today’s picks:

New York Yankees
Pittsburgh Pirates

Wednesday Baseball Picks

No one likes a quitter so I’m rolling with the Astros again today. They should end their 6 game skid with the kid Valasquez, who has nasty stuff. Quintana for the White Sox is 0-2 over his last 3 starts with an ERA of 4.66. Houston has the edge in power, bullpen, speed, defense, and bench.

Also, I like the Cubs to light up Greene in Detroit. Greene has lost 3 straight, balooning his ERA to 11.57 over that span and allowing 17 runs in 11-2/3 innings.

Today’s picks:

Houston Astros
Chicago Cubs
