The Oakland Athletics will go for a series win over the Baltimore Orioles today when the two clubs wrap up their 4-game set at the Coliseum. Runs have been hard to come by in the first three games so we will give the edge to the A’s in this one. The expected starter for Oakland is Paul Blackburn and he has been delivering. Blackburn is 1-0 with an ERA of only 1.80 and a nasty WHIP of 0.90 in 10 innings of work. On the flip side, Tyler Wells is expected to take the hill for Baltimore. Wells comes in at 0-1 with an elevated 6.35 ERA and a 1.76 WHIP in 5.2 innings of work. The A’s are 4-0 in their last 4 following a loss and should be able to get to Wells today.

Saturday MLB Pick
The New York Yankees have been unable to score runs but it’s just a matter of time before they erupt and tonight may be that night. The Yankees will look to even up their 3-game set with the Baltimore Orioles tonight at Camden Yards after losing to the Birds last night, 2-1. Jameson Taillon is expected to be on the bump for New York. Taillon did his job in his last outing against Toronto, yielding 2 runs over 5 innings, but once again the Yanks could not score runs and the Jays went on to a 3-0 win. Baltimore is expected to send Tyler Wells to the hill and he was drilled in his last outing, giving up 4 runs in just 1-2/3 innings against Tampa, and that doesn’t bode well when you are facing the Bombers. New York is 41-15 in their last 56 against Baltimore and 24-8 in their last 32 at Camden Yards.
TONIGHT’S PICK: NEW YORK YANKEES
Thursday MLB Pick
The 3-3 Los Angeles Angels will open a 4-game set against the 1-4 Texas Rangers tonight in Arlington. The Angels are expected to have Shohei Ohtani on the hill. He is doing what he does best and that is deliver. Ohtani was sharp in his season debut against Houston, allowing just 1 run in 4-2/3 innings of work. He has also owned the Rangers in his brief career, with a 3-0 mark and a stingy 2.86 ERA. On the flip side, the Rangers are expected to have Dane Dunning tap the rubber. Trout, Rendon, and Ohtani are licking their chops. Dunning is 1-2 lifetime against the Angels with a bloated ERA of 7.71. Put a fork in it.
TONIGHT’S PICK: LOS ANGELES ANGELS
Wednesday MLB Pick
The Tampa Bay Rays and the Oakland Athletics will play the third game of their 4-game set tonight at Tropicana Field. Tampa evened the series with Oakland last night, winning in extras, 8-9, and are expected to have southpaw Shane McClanahan toe the rubber. McClanahan was sharp in his season debut, pitching 4-1/3 scoreless innings against the Baltimore Orioles, resulting in a 2-1 Rays win. Frankie Montas should be the starter for Oakland but trade rumors are swirling so it is still not definite that he will be on the hill for the A’s tonight. Montas did not look sharp in his season debut against the Phillies, yielding 5 earned runs and resulting in a 9-5 Athletics loss. Despite being crushed by the A’s Monday night, 13-2, the Rays are a better team, 1-9, and should take care of business tonight.
TONIGHT’S PICK: TAMPA BAY RAYS
Tuesday MLB Pick
The Atlanta Braves will look to even the score with the Washington Nationals tonight after getting pummeled by them yesterday, 11-2. Patrick Corbin is expected to take the hill for the Nats and he is not the flame thrower he once was. Corbin was on the losing end of his 2022 debut to the New York Mets and has had issues with the reigning Champs. Last year Corbin was 0-3 against Atlanta with an 8.44 ERA. Olson and company get back on track.
TONIGHT’S PICK: ATLANTA BRAVES
Monday MLB Pick
The Baltimore Orioles are doing what they do best and that is lose. The Orioles were swept by the Tampa Bay Rays in a 3-game set over the weekend and mustered just 4 runs over 27 innings. That’s not good. Today they will host the Milwaukee Brewers, and after losing 2 out of 3 against the Cubs, the Brewers are due for a big game. The Milwaukee sluggers will be facing Bruce Zimmermann. The Brewers should light this guy up. Zimmerman had an awful spring and was 4-5 last year with a 5.04 ERA. That doesn’t get it done in the Majors.
TODAY’S PICK: MILWAUKEE BREWERS
Sunday MLB Pick
The Tampa Bay Rays will go for a series sweep today over the Baltimore Orioles when they wrap up their 3-game set at the Trop. The Rays have owned the Orioles. Tampa has won 14 straight against the Birds and are 20-1 in the last 21 meetings. Two-time Cy Young winner, Corey Kluber, will take the hill for TB. Kluber can still throw flames and is 5-1 in his career against the Orioles. Tampa gets it done in an early one today in St. Pete.
