The play today is the New York Yankees over the Texas Rangers and this is why. The Bombers have won 2 in a row, 8 of their last 11, and are riding high after Kluber’s no-no yesterday.

Wednesday MLB Pick
The Milwaukee Brewers were unable to score a run yesterday against the Kansas City Royals but today should be a different outcome. The Royals are expected to send Brad Keller to the bump and he has an elevated ERA of 6.75 with a 1.86 WHIP – not good. The Brewers are expected to counter with Corbin Burnes and he has been on his mark, with an ERA of just 1.57 and a 0.64 WHIP. Give Burnes a run or two and you win.
TONIGHT’S PICK: MILWAUKEE BREWERS
Tuesday MLB Pick
The St. Louis Cardinals had a rare thing happen to them over the weekend; they were swept by the San Diego Padres at Petco Park. The Central-leading Cardinals will look to get back on track tonight when they return home to Busch Stadium to open a 3-game set with the Pittsburgh Pirates. St. Louis is 12-8 at Busch and won the first 3 meetings with the Pirates earlier this year in Pittsburgh, outscoring the Bucs, 22-8. Tonight’s probables are Pittsburgh’s J.T. Brubaker (3-2, 2.58 ERA) and St. Louis’ John Gant (2-3, 1.83 ERA), who faced each other on April 30th with Gant coming out on top. To say the Cardinals have owned the Pirates would be an understatement. They are 20-6 in the last 26 meetings.
TONIGHT’S PICK: ST. LOUIS CARDINALS
Monday MLB Pick
The Seattle Mariners will host the Detroit Tigers tonight to open a 3-game set at T-Mobile Park. After going on a 5 game skid, the Mariners are back on track winning 3 straight against a really talented Cleveland Indians team. Detroit has won 5 of their last 8 but all 5 wins were at Comerica Park. On the road they have struggled. The Tigers are just 5-14 away from home and a dismal 1-9 in their last 10 meetings with the Mariners. The probable pitchers tonight are southpaw Yusei Kikuchi for Seattle and Casey Mize for Detroit. Both hurlers got off to a bit of a rocky start but have turned it around over their last 3 starts. Mize is 1-1 with a 3.00 ERA and a 1.06 WHIP. Kikuchi is also 1-1, with a slightly better ERA of 2.66 and a 0.79 WHIP. The Tigers do not hit lefties well, are next to last in the league in scoring, and that doesn’t bode well against a Mariners team that is a respectable 12-9 at home.
TONIGHT’S PICK: SEATTLE MARINERS
Sunday MLB Pick
The San Francisco Giants will try to get out of PNC Park with a split today when they wrap up their 4-game set with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Today’s probables are lefty Alex Wood for the Giants and Mitch Keller for the Bucs. Wood has been delivering, at 4-0, with a 1.80 ERA, a 0.83 WHIP, and in his last outing against Texas he allowed just 1 run on 4 hits over 7 innings, resulting in a 3-1 Giants win. That can’t be said about Keller, who is 2-4 with a 7.81 ERA, a 1.81 WHIP, and was lit up in his last outing yielding 7 runs on 7 hits in 3-1/3 innings of work resulting in a 14-1 loss to the Reds. The Giants lost the last two to the Pirates but both games were by Pirate walk-offs and could have gone either way. And let’s not forget, Pittsburgh is just 3-7 in their last 10 home games and 5-11 in their last 16 overall.
TODAY’S PICK: SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS
Saturday MLB Pick
The Kansas City Royals did a rare thing yesterday, they got a win taking Game 1 of their doubleheader with the Chicago White Sox, only to go back to their old habits and lose Game 2. Today they will meet again at Guaranteed Rate Field and the Royals will have to be clicking on every cylinder because the Sox are expected to send lefty Carlos Rodón to the hill. Rodón isn’t just baffling hitters, he is mowing them down. His numbers are off the charts, at 5-0, with a ridiculous ERA of 0.58 and a 0.68 WHIP. Southpaw Mike Minor is expected to get the nod for KC and Chicago should be able to light him up. He is 2-2 with a 5.75 ERA and that ERA has soared over his last 3 turns to 7.36. The White Sox have been feasting on left-handed starters at Guaranteed Rate Field, going 8-1 in their last 9, and have won 14 of the last 17 meetings with the Royals.
TONIGHT’S PICK: CHICAGO WHITE SOX
Friday MLB Pick
The Seattle Mariners fell to the Cleveland Indians last night at T-Mobile Park, which now brings their losing streak to 5. During their 5-game skid they have been outscored 36 to 17 and it won’t get any easier for them tonight when they play Game 2 of their 4-game set against the smoking hot Cleveland Indians. The Tribe is expected to send Aaron Civale to the hill and he is a perfect 5-0, with a 2.91 ERA and a 1.04 WHIP. Cleveland has won 4 in a row, 13 of their last 16, and are 6-0 in their last 6 on the road. Even with Seattle’s expected starter, Chris Flexen, who has pitched well at 3-1 with a 3.78 ERA, it won’t be enough to slow down the Tribe.
TONIGHT’S PICK: CLEVELAND INDIANS
