Sunday CFL Grey Cup Pick

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers will meet in the 107th Grey Cup today at McMahon Stadium in Calgary, Alberta. Hamilton had its best season on record, going 15-3 in the regular season. The Ti-Cats are by far the best team in the CFL. They led the League in passing, offensive touchdowns, points per game, and have the best player in the CFL, receiver Brandon Banks. Winnipeg went 11-7 in the regular season and if they want to win this game, they will have to run the ball, and they can. The Bombers led the League in rushing but will be facing a tough Ti-Cat D. The Cats won both meetings this year, easily dispensing of the Bombers by a combined score of 56-28. Hamilton last faced Winnipeg in the Grey Cup back in 1984 and they were blown out, 47-17. They haven’t forgotten.
TODAY’S PICK: HAMILTON TIGER-CATS M/ L

Friday CFL Pick

The 7-2 Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the 6-3 Edmonton Eskimos will clash tonight on Edmonton’s home turf, The Brick Field. Winnipeg is 2-2 on the road, where they are averaging 26 points per game and allowing 22. Edmonton is a perfect 4-0 at home, where they are averaging 28.2 points per game and allowing just 15. The Bombers are expected to be without QB Matt Nichols and possibly star RB Andrew Harris. The Eskimos QB, Trevor Harris, can carve up a defense. He has thrown for 3,051 yards, with 13 touchdowns and just 2 interceptions. The Bombers won the last meeting in Winnipeg, 28-21, so it’s payback time for Edmonton.
TONIGHT’S PICK:  EDMONTON ESKIMOS -6.5

Friday CFL Pick

Two East Division foes will clash tonight when the Hamilton Tiger-Cats travel to TD Place Stadium to take on the Ottawa Redblacks. Both teams are at 8-7, with Hamilton averaging 29.4 points per game and allowing an average of 24.1 and Ottawa averaging 25.0 points per game and giving up an average of 24.5. The Tiger-Cats cover on the road, going 10-3-1 ATS in their last 14, and they are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 against the East. The Redblacks have not been covering the number at home. They are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 home games, and in Friday games, they are 1-4 ATS in their last 5. Ottawa won the first meeting this year on Tiger-Cat turf so there is extra incentive here for the Cats to put the screws to the Redblacks in front of their home crowd. Hamilton is laying 1.5 and should cover the number but with a money line of just -125, why sweat the hook?
TONIGHT’S PICK: HAMILTON TIGER-CATS M/L

Sunday CFL Pick

The Edmonton Eskimos travel to Ottawa today to take on the Redblacks and the winner will advance to the Grey Cup next Sunday. I like Edmonton’s chances today – they’re 6-4 on the road this year, averaging 29.1 points per game and allowing 25.8 on foreign turf. If you flip it over, Ottawa is 2-6-1 at home, averaging 25.1 points per game and giving up 28.6. The Redblacks are 1-8 ATS in their last 9 home games and 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games overall. The line is Eskimos -2, and the money line is -130. Skip the points, take them money line.

Today’s pick:

Edmonton Eskimos M/L

Friday CFL Pick

The 10-7-0 Winnipeg Blue Bombers travel to Canada’s capital tonight to take on the 8-8-1 Ottawa RedBlacks. The Bombers are 6-2-0 on the road, averaging 30.4 points per game and allowing 26.4 when on foreign turf. The RedBlacks are 2-5-1 at home, averaging 25.8 points per game, giving up 28.0 at TD Place Stadium and are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 home games. On the flip side, Winnipeg has been covering on the road, going 6-1 ATS in their last 7 road games. This line opened at a pick on October 31st and has now moved to Winnipeg laying 3 and you know what that means…

Tonight’s pick:

Winnipeg Blue Bombers -3

Friday CFL Pick

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats will take their 6-9-0 record to Canada’s Capital tonight to take on the 7-7-1 Ottawa Redblacks. The Ticats are second in the East, with a road record of 3-5-0, and when away from Tim Horton’s Field, they are averaging 27.8 points per game and giving up 27.9. The Redblacks are first in the East but are 2-4-1 at TD Place Stadium, averaging 24.3 points per game at home and allowing 26.4. Ottawa is 3-8 ATS in their last 11 overall and 1-6 ATS in their last 7 home games. I like Hamilton in this one, plus the 3.5 points.

Tonight’s pick:

Hamilton Tiger-Cats +3.5 points

Saturday CFL Pick

Two of the best in the west square off today in Winnipeg at Investors Group Field. The BC Lions come into this game 9-4-0, are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 road games and 8-2 in their last 10 ATS overall. The Lions are averaging 30.7 points per game on the road, as opposed to the Blue Bombers who are averaging 24.9 at home. On the defensive side, BC is giving up 22.1 points per game and Winnipeg is giving up 23.6. The numbers favor the Lions.

Today’s pick:

British Columbia Lions
