The last time the Buffalo Sabres faced the Detroit Red Wings, they whacked them, 8-3. The Sabres are 4-5 on the road, a dog tonight, and worth considering.
TONIGHT’S PICK: BUFFALO SABRES

Tuesday NHL Pick
The Tampa Bay Lighting will be a road dog tonight when they visit the Boston Bruins. The Bolts are 6-4-0 on the road and can go toe-to-toe with anybody.
TONIGHT’S PICK: TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING
Saturday NHL Pick
Today’s pick is the Vegas Golden Knights over the Vancouver Canucks and we will leave it at that.
TONIGHT’S PICK: VEGAS GOLDEN KNIGHTS
Friday NHL Pick
The Buffalo Sabres are a home dog tonight when they host the New Jersey Devils. The Sabres have won two straight after losing, forever, and hockey is a streaky sport. The Devils have come back down to earth and are not as dominant as their record reflects.
TONIGHT’S PICK: BUFFALO SABRES
Wednesday NHL Pick
The Detroit Red Wings will have extra incentive tonight when they host the Nashville Predators at Little Caesars Arena. The Red Wings have lost 6 straight to the Predators and 5 of the last 6 to them at home so it’s time to turn the table. This is not the same old Detroit club. The Red Wings are 9-5-4 overall, 5-2-2 at home, and average 3.3 goals per game. The Predators are 9-8-2, 3-5-0 on the road, and average only 2.7 goals per game. The expected goalie for Nashville is Juuse Saros. He is 7-6-2 with a 3.06 GAA and a .905 SV%. On the flip side, the Red Wings are expected to have Ville Husso between the pipes. He is 7-2-3 with a 2.55 GAA and a .916 SV%. Advantage Detroit.
TONIGHT’S PICK: DETROIT RED WINGS
Monday NHL Pick
The Winnipeg Jets will be a home dog tonight when they host the struggling Carolina Hurricanes. The Canes usually get the better of the Jets but they have lost 2 in a row, 5 of their last 7, and it’s always tough when you visit Canada Life Centre. Winnipeg is 10-2 in their last 12 home games and 5-2 in their last 7 overall. Good value on the Jets tonight.
TONIGHT’S PICK: WINNIPEG JETS
Saturday NHL Pick
The Calgary Flames’ road troubles continue. Thursday they lost once again on the road, this time to the Tampa Bay Lightning, and it won’t get any easier for them when they travel to Sunrise for a matinée today with the Florida Panthers. The Panthers are 4-2 in their last 6 overall and a very respectable 5-2-1 at FLA Live Arena. With Thursday’s loss, the Flames are 1-3-1 away from Scotiabank Saddledome and just 2-8 in their last 10 overall. Depending on where you shop, the line is -135 Panthers, which is a little fishy, but they are still worth a consideration.
TODAY’S PICK: FLORIDA PANTHERS
