The Dallas Stars are desperate for a win, after losing 5 straight, but that could end tonight when they host the Chicago Blackhawks. The Blackhawks are just 5-9-1 on the road and couldn’t take care of a Nashville team at home last night that had 8 players, and their entire coaching staff, out with Covid protocol. On the flip side, Dallas also took a loss last night to St. Louis but that was on the road. At American Airlines Center, they are 8-1 in their last 9 and 7-1 in their last 8 as a home favorite.
TONIGHT’S PICK: DALLAS STARS

The Vegas Golden Knights will be playing back-to-back games tonight when they visit MSG for a meeting with the New York Rangers, but keep in mind they played the Devils last night in Newark which is a stone’s throw from Manhattan so they are not catching a flight or changing hotel rooms and that does make a difference. With that said, New York has been struggling of late, going 2-3 over their last 5, and may be without their top point getter, Artemi Panarin, and if he doesn’t lace up that will hurt. With last night’s win, Vegas has now won 3 straight, 6 of their last 7, and are 4-1 in their last 5 meetings with the Rangers. The Golden Knights are too hot not to consider.

The New Jersey Devils have lost 7 of their last 8, have been hit hard by the Covid protocol, and will now have to host the red hot Vegas Golden Knights tonight at Prudential Center. Vegas rolls into this game winners of 5 of their last 6 and during that span they have found the back of the net 28 times. The Golden Knights have won the last 3 meetings and should take care of business tonight against an ailing Devils club.

After a successful 5-game road trip, the Pacific-leading Anaheim Ducks return home tonight to Honda Center to take on the Seattle Kraken. The Ducks are 9-4-1-1 at home while the Kraken are dead last in the Pacific and just 4-7-1-1 on the road. These two teams met on November 11th in Seattle, with the Ducks coming out on top, 7-4, and the way Anaheim is playing, tonight should be no different.

The Tampa Bay Lightning will go for their 6th straight win in an early one today with the Ottawa Senators at Canadian Tire Centre. The Lightning are 9-2-1-1 on the road and 5-1 in their last 6 in Canada’s capital. Bolts are hot, ride them ’til they’re not.

The Buffalo Sabres are doing what they do best and that is lose. Tonight they host the New York Rangers who are 9-3-2 away from MSG and 10-4 in their last 14 trips to the Queen City.

The Boston Bruins will be playing back-to-back games tonight when they visit the Edmonton Oilers. Edmonton is 9-3 in the last 12 meetings with Boston. The Oilers have lost 3 straight and are too good of a team to lose 4 in a row.
