The Buffalo Sabres will start the second half of the season tonight at home against the Ottawa Senators. The Sens will be playing back-to-back games after falling to the New Jersey Devils last night, 4-3, so fatigue could be an issue. Ottawa is just 5-15-4 on the road and Buffalo is a force at KeyBank Center, with a record of 14-6-3. The Sabres will have payback on their minds tonight after losing to the Senators in their last meeting, 3-1. Buffalo hasn’t laced up since January 18th but if rust isn’t a factor, they will cruise to an easy victory.

Despite Monday’s loss at home to the Panthers, the Wild are still 13-6-4 at Xcel Center and will have their captain back in the lineup tonight, Mikko Koivu, who has been out with an illness.

The Florida Panthers will take their 4-game winning streak to Xcel Energy Center tonight for a matchup with the Minnesota Wild and if anyone can slow them down, it’s the Wild. Minnesota has won 7 straight against the Panthers at home and are 10-0-2 lifetime against Florida in Saint Paul. That’s dominance. The Wild are also hot, coming off two impressive wins against elite teams, downing Tampa on Thursday, 3-2, and shutting out Dallas, 7-0, on Saturday. Minnesota has been tough at home, with a record of 13-5-4, and with 20,000 fans backing them, they get the job done.
