Thursday NBA Pick

If the Detroit Pistons are going to end their 5-game skid, it will be tonight when they host the NBA’s worst team, the Brooklyn Nets. Brooklyn is a dismal 16-58 on the season, 6-30 on the road and 2 of their rare wins this season were against the Pistons but that was in Brooklyn. On the bright side for Detroit, they are 11-0 ATS in their last 11 home games against a team with a losing record, and the home team between these two clubs is 6-0 ATS in the last 6 meetings. This is a revenge game for Detroit and they would love nothing more than to blow these guys out.

Tonight’s pick:

Detroit Pistons -6

Monday NBA Pick

The Boston Celtics will look to rebound from a disappointing loss yesterday to the Philadelphia 76ers, when they host the Washington Wizards tonight at TD Garden. The Celtics are 23-9 at home, and it’s not confirmed but they should have all-star guard Isaiah Thomas back in the lineup tonight, who averages 30.5 points per game at home. The Wizards have a road record of 15-17, are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 meetings with Boston and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 at TD Garden. I’m banking on Thomas playing tonight and rolling with the Celtics on the money line.

Tonight’s pick:

Boston Celtics M/L

Thursday NBA Pick

The San Antonio Spurs will put their 9-game winning streak on the line tonight when they travel to Chesapeake Energy Arena to take on the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Spurs will be playing back-to-back games after knocking off the lowly Sacramento Kings last night, 114-104. San Antonio will be laying 3 points in this one and they have not been covering. The Spurs are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games overall, 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games against the Thunder and 3-13 ATS in their last 16 games in Oklahoma City. I’ll take the home dog in this one.

Tonight’s pick:

Oklahoma City Thunder +3

Monday NBA Pick

The San Antonio Spurs are riding a 7-game winning streak but that could be in jeopardy tonight when they play host to the Houston Rockets. Houston has won 8 out of their last 10 games and are a good road team, with a record of 21-11, and they average 114.0 points per game on foreign turf. The Rockets are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 against the Southwest and the visiting team is 4-0 ATS in the last 4 match ups between these two clubs. I’ll take the 3.5 points and the Rockets in this one.

Tonight’s pick:

Houston Rockets +3.5

Monday NBA Pick

I like the Miami Heat’s chances to notch a road victory tonight when they travel to American Airlines Center to take on the Dallas Mavericks. Miami has been on a roll, winning three in row, 8 out of their last 10, and they are 8-2 ATS during that span. Miami has owned the Mavericks, winning the last 3 contests, are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 in Dallas and 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings. I like the Heat in this one.

Tonight’s pick:

Miami Heat -1

Sunday NBA Pick

The Boston Celtics will be a road favorite today, -1.5, when they make the trip to Michigan to take on the Detroit Pistons. The Celtics lost back-to-back games, falling to Toronto and Chicago, but today they should be able to get back on track. Boston won the last meeting 113-109 on January 30th and are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 trips to Detroit. The Celtics have the edge in points per game, field goal percentage, free throws and bench. The money line is low so why sweat the hook? Celtics on the money line in this one.

Today’s pick:

Boston Celtics M/L

Wednesday NBA Pick

The Oklahoma City Thunder have lost two in a row, but a visit from the dysfunctional New York Knicks tonight should get them back on track. New York is 9-18 on the road, 1-6 ATS in their last 7 against the Western Conference, and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The last meeting between these two teams took place at MSG on November 28, 2016 and the Thunders’ Russell Westbrook had 27 points, 18 rebounds and 14 assists in a 112-103 Thunder victory. In Oklahoma City’s last 10 home games, they are 8-2 ATS. I’ll lay the 7 in this one and take OK City.

Tonight’s pick:

Oklahoma City Thunder -7
