Saturday Men’s NCAA Basketball Pick

The USF Bulls will be a 3.5 underdog today when they travel to the Big Easy for a matchup with the Tulane Green Wave. The 9-6 Bulls are #2 in the AAC and the Green Wave sit in the #7 spot with a record of 8-8. The Bulls once again are getting no respect, but they should. This team is good. Last week they were an 8.5-point dog against the Wichita Shockers, and it was a shocker alright. Not only did they cover the number, but they also blew the Shockers out on their home court, 91-72. South Florida is also on a 4-game winning streak, averaging 79.3 points per game as opposed to Tulane’s 76.2 and is the side to consider.
TODAY’S PICK: USF BULLS +3½

Friday Men’s NCAA Basketball Pick

The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference has an early one scheduled today with the Sacred Heart Pioneers hosting the Merrimack Warriors in Fairfield, Connecticut. The Pioneers will be a home dog, currently getting 2.5, and I’ll take it. Both teams are 6-8 overall and match up well but the edge goes to the Pioneers. As the home team, the Pioneers are 4-1 and average 76 points per game as opposed to the Warriors 63.8. They also have the edge in 3-pointers, rebounds, and have won their last two.
TODAY’S PICK: SACRED HEART PIONEERS +2½

Saturday Men’s NCAA Basketball Pick

The Southern Miss Golden Eagles will be a road dog today when they head to Norfolk to face the Old Dominion Monarchs. These Sun Belt foes match up well, but the edge goes to Southern Miss. The Golden Eagles average more points per game, 72.1, to the Monarch’s 69.1. They also have the edge in 3-pointers, free throws, steals, and blocked shots. This will probably be a close one as it usually is between these two but I expect Southern Miss will at least get under the number.
TODAY’S PICK: SOUTHERN MISS GOLDEN EAGLES +2½

Thursday Men’s NCAA Basketball Pick

The Buffalo Bulls will be a huge underdog tonight when they head to Athens, Georgia to face the Georgia Bulldogs. The 9-1 Bulldogs will be laying a lot of chalk tonight, 28 points, but the Bulls should get under the number. Buffalo is not a bad team and is better than the number reflects. The Bulls are 5-5 thus far, already surpassing last year’s win total and are averaging 76.1 points per game. They are also 6-0 ATS in their last 6 road games as a dog.
TONIGHT’S PICK: BUFFALO BULLS +28

Friday Men’s NCAA Basketball Pick

The Boston University Terriers will make the short 30-mile trip to North Andover, MA tonight for a matchup with the Merrimack Warriors. The Terriers have won 2 straight, are 5-5 on the season, and sit in the third spot in the Patriot League. The Warriors are riding a 3-game winning streak, are 4-6 on the season, and are third in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Boston U is currently getting 6 and should at least get under the number. The Terriers are averaging 71.0 points per game as opposed to the Warriors 62.6 and also have the edge in 3-pointers, rebounds, and blocks. Mass pride will be on the line in this one, so it should be a battle.
TONIGHT’S PICK: BOSTON UNIVERSITY TERRIERS +6

Thursday Men’s NCAA Basketball Pick

The Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons will be a road favorite when they visit the Detroit Mercy Titans today in an early one in the Motor City. The Mastodons have never had a problem scoring and this year is no different. They are averaging 82.5 points per game and the Titans porous defense will not be up for the challenge.
TODAY’S PICK: PURDUE FORT WAYNE MASTODONS -7½

Tuesday Men’s NCAA Basketball Pick

The High Point Panthers and the Arkansas State Red Wolves will meet in the CBI Tournament tonight on a neutral court in Daytona Beach, Florida. The Panthers are a scoring machine and they showed it again last night when they crushed Cleveland State, 93-74. High Point is averaging 84.5 points per game and outscoring their opponents by an average of 10.3 points. I don’t think Arkansas State has a chance in this one. The Panthers score a lot more per game than the Red Wolves, give up less, and also have the edge in free throws and rebounds. Depending on where you do your shopping, the line has been floating around High Point -2.5 with a money line of -140.
TONIGHT’S PICK: HIGH POINT PANTHERS M/L
