Thursday NCAA Men’s Basketball Pick

The Hawaii Warriors will pay a visit to the Thunderdome tonight to take on the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos. Simply put, UC Santa Barbara just isn’t a good team. The Gauchos are 3-20 on the season and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall. On the flip side, the Warriors are 12-12 on the season and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Warriors hosted the Gauchos on January 28th and blew them out, 78-56. Why should tonight be any different? I’ll take the road favorite here and lay the points.

Tonight’s pick:

Hawaii Warriors -5.5

Tuesday NCAA Men’s Basketball Pick

The Buffalo Bulls are red hot, winning 4 in a row, going 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall, and will try to keep the momentum going tonight when they travel to Mount Pleasant to take on the Central Michigan Chippewas. The Chips and Bulls last met in Buffalo on January 31, 2017, where Buffalo prevailed, 101-91. Central Michigan can put up points, averaging 89.4 per game, but Buffalo can counter that with a defense that allows an average of 73.7. This number opened at Buffalo -1.5 and has climbed to Buffalo -3.5. Who knows where it will end up? I’m taking the Bulls on the money line in this one.

Tonight’s pick:

Buffalo Bulls M/L

Saturday NCAA Men’s Basketball Pick

The IPFW Mastodons are due for a big win and they should get that today when they host the Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks. The Mastodons boast an 11-2 home record, where they average 89.4 points per game and allow an average of 76.5. IPFW is ranked 24th in offensive field goal percentage shooting and have the edge in points per game, field goal percentage, defense, rebounding and turnovers. The San Francisco Dons will be looking for revenge tonight when they host the Santa Clara Broncos. These two teams met on December 31st in Santa Clara, where the Dons were humiliated in a 72-58 loss. The Dons average 76.5 points per game at home and hold teams to an average of 66.2. On the flip side, the Broncos average 62.1 points on the road and hold teams to an average of 68.0. The Rider Broncos are being spotted 9 points at home tonight when they host a very skilled Monmouth-NJ Hawks. I like the Riders chances in this one. The Broncos faced the Hawks on December 31st and won in overtime, 93-90. At home, Rider averages 77.9 points per game and gives up an average of 77. Monmouth averages 76.1 points on the road and gives up an average of 76.3. Monmouth is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games. The numbers say take Rider in this one plus 9.

Tonight’s pick:

Rider Broncos +9

Friday NCAA Men’s Basketball Pick

The Western Michigan Broncos will make the 2 hour trip tonight to Mount Pleasant to take on the Central Michigan Chippewas. The Broncos are 7-14 on the season, and 0-8 on the road. The Broncos dismal road record can be attributed to them averaging 67.9 points per game and giving up an average of 80.2. The Chippewas are 14-8, with a home record of 9-1, and they can score a ton at McGuirk Arena, where they average 91.8 points per game and allow an average of 83. Central Michigan is 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games as a favorite, and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home games as a favorite. I like the Chippewas tonight, -3.

Tonight’s pick:

Central Michigan Chippewas -3

The Prairie View A&M Panthers should be able to take care of business tonight when they host the Alabama State Hornets. The Panthers are 5-2 at William Nicks Center, where the average 78.4 points per game and allow an average of 76.2. The Hornets are a dismal 1-11 on the road, where they average just 59.5 points per game and give up 75.8. The numbers say the Panthers cover the 7.
