The top two teams in the Mountain West will meet this afternoon when the New Mexico Lobos host the Utah State Aggies. Every team dreads playing New Mexico at the Pit and for good reason, they usually end up going home with their tail between their legs. The best in the Mountain West is 13-1 as the home team and have been on a roll, wining 7 in a row and 9 of their last 10. The Lobos haven’t just been winning. For the most part they have been blowing out their opponents, which includes an 82-63 victory over the Aggies just two weeks ago in Logan, Utah. The Lobos are 5-2 ATS over their last 7 and are always worth considering when they take the floor at the Pit.
TODAY’S PICK: NEW MEXICO LOBOS -5½

The Princeton Tigers either took the Brown Bears for granted or revealed some chinks in their armor but the bottom line is they were out-classed last night by Brown and fell 70- 56. Tonight they will have to face the best in the Ivy League, the Yale Bulldogs, and they had better bring their best to the floor or they are in trouble. Yale won again last night, knocking off Penn. They have now won 9 in a row and are 4-1 ATS over their last 5. The Bulldogs are also 8-0 as the home team and won the last meeting with the Tigers, 77-70, back on January 31st in New Jersey. The Tigers will not be able to hang with the Bulldogs prolific offense. Yale is averaging 83.0 points per game while Princeton averages 74.3, and the Tigers are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 road games. The line is currently Yale -7.5, and it will climb so jump on the Bulldogs early and lay the points.
TONIGHT’S PICK: YALE BULLDOGS -7½

The Princeton Tigers will take it on the road tonight to Providence for a matchup with the Brown Bears. The Tigers are on a roll, winning 2 straight and 8 of their last 10. Princeton has already beaten the Bears this year, blowing them out 69-49 just two weeks ago. Brown has been just the opposite. The Bears have lost 2 in a row and 7 of their last 10. Princeton is 6-1 as the away team and have a big game tomorrow against the Ivy league’s #1 team, Yale. If Princeton stays focused on Brown and not tomorrow’s game against Yale, they should cruise to a victory.

The Liberty Flames will be a road favorite tonight when they travel to the Pan American Center to take on their Conference USA foe, the New Mexico State Aggies. The 19-6 Flames have already beaten the Aggies this year and they are hot. Liberty has won 2 straight and 5 of their last 6. They also average more points per game than New Mexico State, give up less, and have the edge in 3-pointers, blocks, and steals. The 12-11 Aggies have not been playing well. They have lost 2 in a row, 5 of their last 6, and will have their hands full tonight with a much more talented Liberty team.
TONIGHT’S PICK: LIBERTY FLAMES M/L

The Winthrop Eagles will have payback on their minds when they host their Big South rival tonight, the Radford Highlanders. In their last meeting on January 4th, Radford put a beating on Winthrop, 87-67, but now the Eagles get them on their home court, and they are hard to beat in Rock Hill. As the home team, Winthrop is 14-1 and has been on fire. The Eagles are riding a 4-game winning streak and over that span they have put up an amazing 360 points. The Highlanders are 6-8 as the away team and their offense does not even come close to the Eagles. Radford is averaging 74.3 points per game and Winthrop 85.5. This is not the same Eagles team that faced the Highlanders back in January. Consider the home team on the money line.
TONIGHT’S PICK: WINTHROP EAGLES M/L

Two of the elite in the MAC will square off tonight when the Miami (OH) Redhawks host the Toledo Rockets. Both teams are hot, with Toledo riding a 5-game winning streak and Miami 4. As the home team, the Redhawks are 11-1 and they can score, averaging 81.4 points per game. They should be able to light it up against a Rockets team that is allowing an average of 78.8 points per game. The number is climbing so jump on the Redhawks early.
TONIGHT’S PICK: MIAMI (OH) REDHAWKS M/L

After winning seven straight games the Texas Southern Tigers have fallen off the rails, losing their last two, but I expect they get back on track tonight when they host the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats. The Tigers could easily be on a 9-0 run. Their last two losses were by a combined 3 points. Both the Tigers and Wildcats are 7-3 in conference play with the Tigers in the second spot in the SWAC and the Wildcats third. As the home team, Texas Southern is 7-3 and average 73.0 points per game as opposed to Bethune-Cookman’s 67.8. They also have the edge in 3-pointers, free throws, rebounds and steals. This will probably be a close one so consider the Tigers on the money line.
