Two ACC rivals will square off today when the Syracuse Orange visit the Pittsburgh Panthers. Both teams will look to get back on track after losing their last two. The Orange come in at 6-2 and 3-1 in conference play. The Panthers are at 4-4 and just 1-3 in conference play. There is concern on the Syracuse side with starting quarterback Garrett Shrader, who is questionable for today’s matchup after being knocked out of last week’s game with a concussion. The way the Orange can overcome this hurdle, if Shrader doesn’t play, is feed the ball to star running back Sean Tucker who has 758 yards and 7 touchdowns. Syracuse has a stellar pass defense, allowing just 164.5 yards per game, so they should be able to keep Pitt’s quarterback, Kedon Slovis, in check. The Orange are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games overall where the Panthers are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 home games. The road team is 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 meetings, the Q are currently getting 4, and they are worth considering.

The 3-5 Western Michigan Broncos will be getting 4½ points tonight when they visit the 4-4 Bowling Green Falcons. Both teams had byes last week so all will be rested. The Falcons and Broncos have similar numbers on offense, with the Broncos averaging 305.5 yards per game and the Falcons slightly better at 339.5. The defense however favors the Broncos. Western Michigan is allowing an average of 374.9 points per game as opposed to Bowling Green at 431.1. The Broncos have won the last two meetings with the Falcons, are 5-2 ATS in the last 7 against Bowling Green, and for what it matters, Western Michigan is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 Wednesday games.

The 4-3 UL Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns will head to Hattiesburg tonight for a matchup with the 4-3 Southern Miss Golden Eagles. The Ragin’ Cajuns are coming off a blowout win over Arkansas State, 38-18, a team that the Golden Eagles were lucky to beat, eking one out 20-19 on October 15th. Simply put, the Ragin’ Cajuns score more points than the Golden Eagles and give up less. The line in this one has flipped. Louisiana is now laying 1, with a money line of only -115. Don’t sweat the point.

The line in the Western Michigan Broncos vs. Nevada Wolf Pack game has flipped from Nevada laying 6 to getting 7 and this is why. Quarterback Carson Strong has elected to not fulfill his commitment to Nevada and will sit this one out along with 3 receivers, and their Coach Jay Norvell has already inked a deal with Colorado State for more money. The Wolf Pack deserves to get whacked.
