The 5-3 Buffalo Bills will have payback on their minds tonight when they visit the 4-3 Cincinnati Bengals at Paycor Stadium. The 27-10 loss at home in last year’s playoff game is still fresh in the memory banks and being a 2½ point dog will motivate Buffalo even more. The Bills will also be well-rested, having 9 days off after taking care of the Bucs at home on October 26th. For some reason, the Bills OC, Ken Dorsey, had the bright idea of slowing down Josh Allen and the up tempo Bills offense and that isn’t the way Josh plays the game. Dorsey came to his senses and let Josh be Josh, and what did he do? Allen threw for 324 yards against Tampa with 2 TDs and the Bills cruised to a victory. The Bengals are riding high after knocking off the 49ers last week and have won 3 straight so this will not be a walk in the park for Buffalo. Joe Burrow is getting healthy. He has thrown for 1,513 yards with 10 TDs and has a passer rating of 87.00 but Allen has been better. He has thrown for 2,165 yards with 17 TDs and has a 101.5 passer rating. The Bills should be able to move the ball on the ground against the Bengals, who are mediocre at best against the run game, and if Allen is allowed to play his wide open style of football, the Bills win.
TONIGHT’S PICK: BUFFALO BILLS +2½

Two Black and Blue Division rivals will face each other today when the Minnesota Vikings visit Lambeau Field and the Green Bay Packers. The Vikings will go for their third straight win and are coming off a huge upset victory over the heavily favored San Francisco 49ers on Monday so they will have plenty of swagger going into this one. Minnesota’s Kirk Cousins has thrown for 2,057 yards with 16 TDs and has found a new favorite target in rookie, Jordan Addison, who had 7 catches and 2 TDs against the stout San Francisco defense. On the flip side, Matt LaFleur’s team has lost 3 straight and it appears rookie quarterback Jordan Love might not be the answer. He has thrown for just 1,263 yards with 10 TDs and 7 interceptions. The line opened at Green Bay -1 and has flipped to Minnesota laying 1. The Vikings have had issues with turnovers but if they hang onto the ball, they win.

The 2-1 Seattle Seahawks will be in New Jersey tonight to face the 1-2 New York Giants. The Seahawks are 5-0 in in their last 5 trips to the Garden State and have Geno Smith over center. He is the most underrated quarterback in the NFL. Smith has thrown for 736 yards with 4 TDs and just 1 pick. The Jersey Boys will have Daniel Jones at the helm. He has thrown for 562 yards with only 2 TDs and 4 picks. The line opened up with the Giants laying 1 and has flipped to the Seahawks laying 2 plus the hook.

The Miami Dolphins might be 3-0 but today they travel to Western New York to face the Buffalo Bills and that’s a horse of a different color. The 2-1 Bills had a hiccup in game 1 against the Jets but since then they have been lethal, taking down the Raiders, 38-10, and then taking it on the arches to DC and blowing out the Commanders, 38-3. Miami is coming off a 70-10 romp over the Denver Broncos but you don’t run it up like that. It’s an unwritten rule and a kiss of death. The Bills will make coach McDaniel and company pay.

The Buffalo Bills will be hosting their archrival, the Miami Dolphins, in today’s AFC Wild Card game. Buffalo is laying a lot of chalk, 13.5 points, but they should cover the number. The Bills have won 7 straight, are 7-1 in their last 8 in Orchard Park, and 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 home games against the Dolphins. The temperature at kickoff will be 28^oF and Miami does not fare well in cold weather. Since 2008, the Fins are just 7-14 when the mercury dips below 34^oF and they are 0-4 ATS in the last 4 playoff games. Miami is expected to start third string QB Skyler Thompson, who has thrown for just 534 yards with 3 interceptions, and the Bills stellar defense will be licking their chops. On the flip side, QB Josh Allen has thrown for 4,283 yards with 35 TDs and should have no problem threading the needle against a Dolphins defense that ranks 27th against the pass.

The Buffalo Bills will be extra motivated today when they face the New England Patriots in Orchard Park. Buffalo (12-3 overall, 5-1 at home) is averaging 402.3 yards per game, allowing an average of 317.7, and they have Josh Allen at the helm. Allen has thrown for 4,029 yards with 32 TDs. New England is 8-8 and 4-4 on the road. The Pats are averaging 312.9 yards per game and allowing 321.7. New England’s QB Mac Jones in no Josh Allen. He has thrown for 2,753 yards with 11 TDs. The Bills have won 3 straight against their archrival and are 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings. This team and city have gone through so much adversity this year which has made them even stronger and they will win this one big for their brother Damar Hamlin.

If the Detroit Lions want to remain in the playoff hunt, they will have to take care of business today at home against the Chicago Bears, and they should. The Lions’ Jared Goff has thrown for 3,959 yards with 26 touchdowns. The Bears’ Justin Fields has 2,167 yards with 16 touchdowns. No comparison. Chicago is just 1-6 on the road and Detroit has covered 7 of their last 8 games.
