After last night’s loss to the Colorado Avalanche, the 11-14-3 Calgary Flames have now lost 2 straight and 4 of their last 5. It won’t get any easier for them tonight when they visit T-Mobile Arena and the 19-5-5 Vegas Golden Knights. Vegas has won 3 straight and 5 of their last 6. They are also 10-2-2 on the Strip and are expected to have Adin Hill between the pipes. This guy stops everything. Hill is 10-2-2 with a GAA of only 1.87 and a .935 Sv%. Consider the Champs.
TONIGHT’S PICK: VEGAS GOLDEN KNIGHTS
Monday NHL Pick
The Colorado Avalanche have lost 2 straight and will look to get back on track tonight when they host the Calgary Flames. The Flames are 5-7-2 on the road and have lost 3 of their last 4. They are also in a tailspin, starting to move players in hopes of salvaging the season and it’s not working. The Avs own a 9-4-0 record at home. They have won 3 straight against the Flames and 5 of the last 6 overall. If Colorado is to get back on track, it should be tonight.
TONIGHT’S PICK: COLORADO AVALANCHE
Sunday NFL Pick
The red hot 7-5 Indianapolis Colts will be at Paycor Stadium today to face the 6-6 Cincinnati Bengals. The Colts have won 4 straight and are a road dog but that’s okay. Indy is 5-1 away from Lucas Oil Stadium and 8-4 ATS on the season. The Bengals are coming off an upset win over the Jags last Monday but are still just 1-3 over their last 4 and are not the same team without their star QB, Joe Burrow. Cincinnati is playing on short rest and, is backup QB Jake Browning the real deal? It’s too early to tell. I’ll take the hot team and the points all day long.
TODAY’S PICK: INDIANAPOLIS COLTS +2½
Saturday NCAA Football Pick
The Army-Navy game will be played on a neutral field tonight at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass. These teams match up well and this should be another close one like they always are. The Black Knights come into this meeting hot winners of their last 3. On the flip side, the Midshipmen have lost 3 of their last 5 and were annihilated by SMU in their last outing, 59-14. The Black Knights average more points per game than the Midshipmen, give up less, and won last year’s meeting, 20-17. The line is currently Army -3 but don’t sweat the number. Consider Army on the money line
TONIGHT’S PICK: ARMY BLACK KNIGHTS M/L
Friday Men’s NCAA Basketball Pick
The Quinnipiac Bobcats will be at home tonight to take on the Navy Midshipmen. Navy is 2-5 overall, 0-4 on the road, fifth in the Patriot League, and just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 against a team with a straight up winning record. Quinnipiac is 6-2 overall, third in the very competitive Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, and a perfect 4-0 as the home team. The number in this one is currently Bobcats -5.5. Quinn is averaging 81.4 points per game as opposed to Navy’s 64.1 and should cruise to an easy victory. If the Bobcats want to cover the number, they will.
TONIGHT’S PICK: QUINNIPIAC BOBCATS -5½
Thursday NHL Pick
The Buffalo Sabres are good at one thing and one thing only: losing. They have been doing it for years and this year is no different. The 10-14-2 Sabres have lost 4 straight and will travel to Boston tonight to take on the Bruins. Good luck. The Bruins are having another stellar season, with a record of 17-4-3, have won 3 straight, and are 9-1 in their last 10 against the lowly Sabres.
TONIGHT’S PICK: BOSTON BRUINS
Wednesday NHL Pick
The Tampa Bay Lightning snapped their 4-game skid on Monday by shutting out a very good Dallas Stars team, 4-0, in Tampa. Tonight they will once again be in the friendly confines of Amalie Arena, where they are an impressive 7-3-3. The Lightning will face the Pittsburgh Penguins and have payback on their minds. Pittsburgh won the last meeting in Tampa last Thursday, 4-2. Stamkos and company aren’t going to let that happen again. The Penguins are just 3-7 over their last 10 but have won 5 straight against the Bolts. Trends end.
TONIGHT’S PICK: TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING
