Monday NHL Pick

The Pittsburgh Penguins will go for 6 straight wins tonight when they host the Dallas Stars. PPG Paints Arena has been very good to Pittsburgh. They are 8-3-2 at home and are 4-1 in their last 5 in Pitt against the Stars. The Penguins are hot, ride them ’til they are not.
TONIGHT’S PICK: PITTSBURGH PENGUINS

Sunday NFL Pick

There will be a Black and Blue Division matchup today at Ford Field when the Detroit Lions host the Minnesota Vikings. Detroit might be 5-7 on the season but they are a lot better than their record reflects. The Lions are coming off a 40-14 pummeling of the Jacksonville Jaguars and have won 4 of their last 5 with their only loss to the hands of the best team in football, the Buffalo Bills, in a close one, 28-25. Minnesota is 10-2 but I am still not sold on them. They have a defense that is shaky at best and Jared Goff should expose that today. Goff has thrown for 3,022 yards with 19 TDs and the Lions are averaging 369.1 yards per game.
TODAY’S PICK: DETROIT LIONS M/L

Saturday NHL Pick

The Tampa Bay Lightning and the Florida Panthers will clash in an early one today at Amalie Arena. The host Lightning are 9-4-1 at home and are coming off an impressive 5-2 win over Nashville on Thursday. The Panthers are just 4-6 over their last 10, have lost their last 6 meetings with the Bolts, and are a dismal 6-20 in their last 26 in Tampa.
TODAY’S PICK: TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING

Friday NHL Pick

The Colorado Avalanche will look to snap their 3-game skid when they host the New York Rangers tonight at Ball Arena. The Avs have been decimated with injuries but keep in mind they are still the champs and will not go down without a fight. If you think altitude isn’t a factor for visiting clubs to Colorado, just ask the Rangers who are 0-4 in their last 4 trips to the mountains. The Avs are expected to have Alexandar Georgiev between the pipes and he will be as stingy as always. Georgiev is 11-5-1 with a 2.78 GAA and a .918 SV%. Colorado is a home dog, currently around +130, and are worth considering.
TONIGHT’S PICK: COLORADO AVALANCHE

Thursday NHL Pick

One team the Winnipeg Jets have owned over the years is the St. Louis Blues and that is who they will visit tonight. The Jets are 4-0 in the last 4 meetings with the Blues and 12-3 in their last 15 in St. Louis. They have also been on a roll, winning 2 straight, 5 of their last 6, and they are a solid 6-4-1 on the road. On the other hand, the Blues are just 5-6-0 at Enterprise Center and have lost 6 of their last 8. Good value on the Jets tonight at the current price of -120.
TONIGHT’S PICK: WINNIPEG JETS

Wednesday Men’s NCAA Basketball Pick

The UNLV Runnin’ Rebels will take on the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors tonight at the Dollar Loan Center in Henderson, Nevada. The Rebels have been dominating this year. They come into this game a perfect 8-0 and are lighting up the scoreboard, averaging 80 points per game. The Warriors are 5-2, averaging 68.3 points per game, and they had better be on the top of their game tonight if they want to pull the upset. UNLV has the edge in points per game, 3-point field goals, rebounds, steals, etc., etc., etc. Depending on where you do your shopping, the line is floating around the 7 mark.
TONIGHT’S PICK: UNLV RUNNIN’ REBELS -7
