Tuesday MLB Pick

Luis Gil will be on the hill for the New York Yankees when they open a 3-game set with the Cincinnati Reds tonight at the Stadium. Gil was roughed up in his last two outings but will bounce back today. He is 9-3 with a 3.15 ERA and a 1.12 WHIP. The Bombers are the better team by far. They have the edge in hits, batting average, homers, and run differential. Take the Yankees.

Monday MLB Pick

The Milwaukee Brewers will open a 4-game set on the road against the Colorado Rockies. The Brewers are the better team, by far. They have the edge in runs per game, run differential, hits, homers, ERA, and the list goes on. If the altitude doesn’t get to them, they will win this game.
TODAY’S PICK: MILWAUKEE BREWERS

Sunday MLB Pick

The Tampa Bay Rays will go for a series win over the Washington Nationals in an early one today in St. Pete. Despite last night’s loss, the Rays have been playing really well and are 7-3 over their last 10. Tampa Bay will come out on top today.
TODAY’S PICK: TAMPA BAY RAYS

Saturday MLB Pick

The New York Yankees finally snapped their 4-game losing streak last night with a 16-5 shellacking of the Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre. Today it continues.

Friday MLB Pick

After a lengthy road trip, the Seattle Mariners return home tonight to open a 3-game set with the Minnesota Twins at T-Mobile Park. Seattle’s 9 game road trip did not go their way, after winning just 3 of the 9, but at home they are a different team with an impressive 27-12 record. The Mariners are expected to send Logan Gilbert to the hill. He is 5-4 with a 2.71 ERA, a 0.88 WHIP, and over his last 3 turns it gets better. He is 2-0 with an ERA of just 1.19 and a 0.57 WHIP. The Twins have won 2 in a row, 4 of their last 5, and bring their 22-20 road record to Seattle. They are expected to give the nod to Bailey Ober. He is 7-4 with a 4.50 ERA and a 1.11 WHIP. Seattle was off yesterday and Minnesota was not. The Twins could also be without their star, SS Carlos Correa, who was hit in the wrist by a pitch last night and left the game in the seventh inning.
TONIGHT’S PICK: SEATTLE MARINERS

Thursday MLB Pick

The St. Louis Cardinals will open a 4-game set tonight at Busch Stadium with their NL Central rival, the Cincinnati Reds. The Reds are struggling, having lost 2 straight and 4 of their last 5. Tonight they are expected to turn to Andrew Abbott to right the ship. Abbott is a quality starter and is better than his 6-6 record reflects. He has an ERA of 3.40 and a 1.18 WHIP. On the flip side, you can say the same for the Cardinals’ expected starter, Miles Mikolas, who is also 6-6 with a 4.68 ERA and very good WHIP of 1.16. It won’t be a walk in the park for the Cardinals (with Abbott on the hill) but they should come out on top. St. Louis is hot, winning 4 of their last 5, and usually stick it to Cincinnati. The Cardinals took 2 out of 3 from the Reds in Cincinnati back in May and have won 4 of the last 5 meetings.
TONIGHT’S PICK: ST. LOUIS CARDINALS

Wednesday MLB Pick

On the verge of losing six straight and being swept at home by the red-hot Cleveland Guardians, who have won seven in a row, the Baltimore Orioles will turn to Grayson Rodriguez tonight at Birdland to stop the bleeding. Rodriguez usually comes through when called upon and I expect he will do just that tonight. He is 8-3 with a 3.82 ERA and a 1.29 WHIP. The veteran, Carlos Carrasco, is expected on the hill for the Guardians. Carrasco is not having a good year with a record of 3-6, a 5.40 ERA and a 1.38 WHIP. Gunnar Henderson and company should put up some runs on the struggling right-hander. The first two games could have gone either way with Baltimore getting the short end of the stick in both. Not tonight.
TONIGHT’S PICK: BALTIMORE ORIOLES
