Wednesday NHL Pick

Two bottom feeders will face each other tonight in Western New York when the Buffalo Sabres play host to The Arizona Coyotes. Arizona is 9-17-7 on the road this season, 1-5 in their last 6 meetings with the Sabres, and 2-5 in their last 7 trips to Buffalo. These two clubs met in the desert on November 2nd, with Buffalo prevailing, 5-4. One of these two teams will get the overall pick in the draft so what are they playing for – a win or a number one pick? I say a win. Hockey players have pride.
TONIGHT’S PICK: BUFFALO SABRES

Tuesday NHL Pick

The Columbus Blue Jackets have been on a roll, winning 8 in a row, and will seek their 9th when they travel to Manhattan tonight to the face the New York Rangers. The Blue Jackets road record is mediocre at 16-17-0-3 and they have struggled at MSG, going 2-5 in their last 7 games there. New York is tough on their home ice, with a record of 20-13-2-2, and have won their last 2 games at home, downing Pittsburgh and Carolina. Columbus last visited MSG in November and lost, 5-3. I like the Rangers chances in this one and they are a home underdog.
TONIGHT’S PICK: NEW YORK RANGERS +135

Monday Men’s NCAA Basketball Pick

The San Francisco Dons will be laying 1 point tonight when they host the Utah Valley Wolverines. The Dons are 13-6 at home, where they are averaging 69.3 points per game, and allowing an average of 66.7. The Wolverines are 6-8 on the road, where they are averaging 72.8 points per game, and allowing an average of 71.5. The numbers indicate a close game, with a slight edge in favor of the Dons.
TONIGHT’S PICK: SAN FRANCISCO DONS M/L

Sunday NHL Pick

The Anaheim Ducks are fighting for their post-season lives, so from now on down the stretch they will be pulling no punches, which will make them a very dangerous opponent. The New Jersey Devils will roll into Honda Center tonight with an impressive road record of 19-12-2-3, but this is where it ends. The Devils have not fared well in Anaheim, going 2-8-1 in their last 11 and the Ducks are 5-1 in their last 6 at home. Add to the mix, the home team is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings between these two clubs. Ducks look like the side to take in this one.
TONIGHT’S PICK: ANAHEIM DUCKS

Saturday Men’s NCAA Basketball Pick

The Buffalo Bulls not only beat 4th seeded Arizona on Thursday, they blew them out, winning 89-68, and they will face another powerhouse today, the Kentucky Wildcats. The win on Thursday was no fluke. This Bulls team can play with anybody. In Thursday’s win, they hit 15 of 30 3-pointers and shot 54.8% overall. We all know Kentucky’s track record and this won’t be an easy one for Buffalo. The Wildcats are 2-0-2 ATS in their last 4 NCAA Tournament games and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall. On the flip side, the Bulls are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 after a straight up win. Neutral court numbers are similar. Buffalo is 5-2 and 6-1 ATS, averaging 82.1 points per game, and allowing an average of 75.3. Kentucky is also 5-2 and 6-1 ATS, averaging 76.0 points per game, and allowing an average of 68.7. If the Bulls’ Wes Clark is on, like he was on Thursday scoring 25 points, don’t be surprised if Buffalo does it again.
TODAY’S PICK: BUFFALO BULLS +6

Friday Men’s NCAA Basketball Pick

The Nevada Wolf Pack will be getting 1.5 points today when they face the Texas Longhorns at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. Nevada will try to bounce back from last Friday’s humiliating 90-73 loss to San Diego State and past history says they will. The Pack are 20-7-2 ATS in their last 29 games following an ATS loss. The Longhorns have not been covering in NCAA Tournament games. They are 0-8 ATS in their last 8 and against the Mountain West, they are 0-4 ATS in their last 4. Neutral site numbers have Nevada averaging 76.4 points per game and allowing an average of 75.6 and Texas averages 68.8 points per game, allowing 66.0. This should be a close game but if the Martin twins are on their mark, Nevada should prevail.
TODAY’S PICK: NEVADA WOLF PACK +1.5

Thursday Men’s NCAA Basketball Pick

The Austin Peay Governors are tough to beat on their home court and that is where they will be tonight when they face the Louisiana Monroe Warhawks. The Governors are 12-4 at the Winfield Dunn Center, where they are averaging 74.8 points per game and allowing an average of 68.8. On the flip side, the Warhawks have been awful on the road, with a record of 3-10. They are averaging a mere 63.8 points per game and allowing an average of 72.6 on the road. The line in this one has been up and down so consider siding with Peay on the money line.
TONIGHT’S PICK: AUSTIN PEAY GOVERNORS M/L
