The next pick will be posted tomorrow. Good luck with your picks tonight.
Wednesday NHL Pick
Both the Boston Bruins and the Washington Capitals will be playing back-to-back games when they square off tonight at Verizon Center. The Capitals are coming off a 3-game road trip where they went 1-2, and will be glad to be back at home where they are tough to beat, owning a home record of 19-5-1. The Bruins counter with a very respectable road record of 14-9-6 but have struggled against Ovechkin and company. The Bruins are 0-7 in their last 7 meetings with the Caps, and 0-4 in their last 4 games at Verizon Center. I like Washington’s chances in this one.
Tonight’s pick:
Washington Capitals
Tuesday NHL Pick
If the Detroit Red Wings are going to snap their 4-game skid, it should be tonight when they play host to another bottom dweller, the New Jersey Devils. The Devils are 2-6 in their last 8 meetings with Detroit and 2-10 in their last 12 in the Motor City.
Tonight’s pick:
Detroit Red Wings
Monday NCAA Men’s Basketball Pick
The Prairie View A&M Panthers should be able to take care of business tonight when they host the Alabama State Hornets. The Panthers are 5-2 at William Nicks Center, where the average 78.4 points per game and allow an average of 76.2. The Hornets are a dismal 1-11 on the road, where they average just 59.5 points per game and give up 75.8. The numbers say the Panthers cover the 7.
Tonight’s pick:
Prairie View A&M Panthers -7
Sunday NBA Pick
Toronto’s 5-game skid ended on Friday when the Raptors blew out the Milwaukee Bucks, 102-86, and that momentum should continue today when they host the 18-30 Orlando Magic at Air Canada Centre. DeRozan will probably sit again for the Rap but that shouldn’t matter. Toronto averages 112.7 at home and gives up an average of 103.1. On the flip side, Orlando is averaging 101.9 on the road and giving up 107.7. With or without DeRozan, the Raptors should cover.
Today’s pick:
Toronto Raptors -9
Saturday NCAA Men’s Basketball Pick
The Nevada Wolf Pack will host the New Mexico Lobos today at Lawlor Center. The last time these two teams met was at The Pit in New Mexico on 01/07/17, where the Wolf Pack engineered one of the greatest comebacks in Men’s NCAA-B history, winning in overtime, 105-104. Nevada is tough at home, with an 8-1 record, where they average 79.7 points per game and give up an average of 68.3. The Wolf Pack cover. They are 17-7-1 ATS in their last 25 home games and 17-8-2 ATS in their last 27 games overall. When the Lobos are away from The Pit, they are 3-4, averaging 71.3 points per game and giving up an average of 74.6. The Pack have the edge in points per game, defense, rebounding and turnovers. This line is moving, it’s now Nevada -4.5. This could be a close one, but Nevada gets the win. I like the Pack on the money line.
Today’s pick:
Nevada Wolf Pack M/L
Friday NBA Pick
The Toronto Raptors have gone south, losing their last 5 games, but that should end tonight when they play host to the Milwaukee Bucks at Air Canada Centre. The Bucks are 8-13 on the road, where they average 99.9 points per game and are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games overall, 0-4 ATS in their last 4 road games, and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 meetings with the Raptors. Toronto is 15-8 at home, where they average 113.2 points per game and blew out the Bucks in the last meeting on 12/12/16, 122-100 at Air Canada Centre. Even without their star shooting guard DeMar DeRozan, who will probably sit tonight due to an ankle sprain, Toronto should cover the number.
Tonight’s pick:
Toronto Raptors -5.5
