Monday Men’s NCAA Basketball Pick

Two 8-13 MAAC teams square off in New Jersey tonight as the St. Peter’s Peacocks face the Quinnipiac Bobcats. The Bobcats are averaging 70.4 points per game on the road. On the flip side, the Peacocks are averaging 65.1 points per game at home. The Bobcats have the edge in points and rebounding, and the Peacocks are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 overall.

Today’s pick:

Quinnipiac Bobcats +5

Sunday NHL Pick

Montreal Canadiens snapped their losing streak yesterday by pummeling Edmonton Oilers 5-1. Winning is contagious. I think that carries over today when they play Carolina Hurricanes at home.

Today’s pick:

Montreal Canadiens

Sunday Men’s NCAA Basketball Pick

Fairfield Stags host the Manhattan Jaspers today. Fairfield is laying 5 in this game and they should cover it. The Stags are 8-4 at home and are averaging 79 points on their home court. Jaspers come into this game with a 2-7 road record and are averaging 64.8 points on the road. I like the Stags in this one.

Today’s pick:

Fairfield Stags -5

Friday NHL Pick

The Anaheim Ducks were an expected Stanley Cup contender at the beginning of 2015-2016 campaign and after a slow start they are finally living up to their potential. The Ducks are on fire, winning 5 straight, and 2 of them against their hated foes, the Los Angeles Kings and the San Jose Sharks. Ducks are 12-3-2 over their last 17 and are 4-1 in their last 5 at home. Tonight the Arizona Coyotes drag themselves into Honda Center after a tough overtime loss to Chicago last night. The Coyotes are just 2-7 in their last 9 games. Sticking with Ducks while they are hot!!!

Tonight’s pick:

Anaheim Ducks

Thursday NHL Pick

The Washington Capitals will be at full strength tonight when they host the New York Islanders. Alex Ovechkin returns tonight after serving his one game suspension for snubbing the all star game and Braden Holtby is expected between the pipes after having a day off on Tuesday. The Capitals are on a rare 2-game skid and the Islanders should be the cure for this. The Capitals are 6-3-1 in their last 10 versus New York, and the Islanders are just 1-5 in their last 6 at Verizon Center. Alex Ovechkin has faced the Islanders 38 times in his career and he has been spectacular, scoring 27 goals with 15 assists. Ovechkin should be hungry tonight. I like the Caps in this one.

Tonight’s pick:

Washington Capitals
