Sunday Baseball Pick

Jays came through yesterday. Let’s keep it rolling today with the Pirates. “Lefty” Liriano takes the hill today and the Bucs are 3-0 in Liriano’s last 3 starts. Over that span his ERA is 1.80 with a WHIP of 1.10. In their last 17 Sunday games, the Pirates are 12-5. Cardinals don’t fare well against lefties. They are 2-6 in their last 8 against left-handed pitchers. As a side note, Knight is behind home plate. The Cardinals are 1-4 in their last 5 when he is umpire. He favors home teams 41-15.

Today’s pick:

Pittsburgh Pirates

Saturday Baseball Pick

Toronto looks like a good play today. Jays are 11-3 in their last 14 against American League Central teams with Buehrle pitching. They are also 4-0 in Buehrle’s last 4 as a favorite. He’s been sharp over his last 3 with a 1.23 ERA and a 0.91 WHIP. The bats have been silent for Toronto but Joey “Bats” Bautista and company should get it going today.

Today’s pick:

Toronto Blue Jays

Friday’s Early Baseball Pick

Cubs are glad to be back home. They are 4-0 in their last 4 home games following a road trip of 7 games or more. Hammel owns the American League East with a 7-0 resord over his last 7 games.

Today’s early pick:

Thursday Baseball Pick

Let’s roll with the Royals and Chris Young today. Twins are 2-6 in their last 8 at KC. Royals are 7-3 in their last 10 games with Young starting. KC ends their 3 game skid today.

Today’s pick:

Kansas City Royals

Wednesday Baseball Pick

I’m staying north of the border today and rolling with the Blue Jays. Buehrle is on the hill and the Jays fare well when he pitches. Jays are 6-2 in Buehrle’s last 8 starts at home and 4-1 in his last 5 against the Red Sox. He has a 2.14 ERA and a 0.90 WHIP over his last 3 and Porcello for the Sox has an ERA of 6.75 with a WHIP of 1.56 over his last 3. Sox are 1-6 in Porcello’s last 7 starts and 1-4 in his last 5 Wednesday games. The umpiring last night was terrible and did not favor the Jays. Today should be better for them. Cuzzi is behind home plate and the Jays are 4-0 in the last 4 when Cuzzi is officiating; the Sox are 3-14 in last 17 when he is calling the game. It’s also Canada Day so there should be a huge crowd factor.

Today’s pick:

Toronto Blue Jays
