Tuesday Baseball Pick

Going north of the border today with the Toronto Blue Jays. Estrada takes the mound for the Jays and has been sharp over his last 3 outings with a 2.61 ERA and 0.82 WHIP. They are 5-0 in Estrada’s last 5 starts. On the other side for the Red Sox, Rodriguez has been awful over his last 3 outings, with a 9.82 ERA and a 1.70 WHIP. Toronto is 14-5 in their last 19 home games. I can see Joey “Bats” Bautista and company putting up some numbers. Jays should win this game.

Today’s pick:

Toronto Blue Jays

Monday Baseball Pick

Tonight I’m looking for the Athletics to end their 3 game skid at home against the Colorado Rockies. Kendall Graveman takes the hill for the A’s and has been sharp over his last 3 starts with an ERA of 2.05 amd a WHIP of 1.09. David Hale has been just the opposite for the Rockies with an ERA of 8.04 and a WHIP of 1.85 over the same span. The Rockies are just 14-48 in their last 62 interleague games and 22-59 in their last 81 road games. Oakland does well on Mondays with a 7-2 record over their last 9 and are 35-16 in their last 51 interleague games at home. Athletics should win this game.

Tonight’s pick:

Oakland Athletics

Sunday Baseball Pick

Padres came through for the series, winning their first two games.

Let’s keep the ball rolling today with the Rays over the Red Sox. They have the edge in starting pitching, bullpen, defense, speed and bench. Archer’s on the hill and he’s lights out at home. The Rays are 8-0 in Archer’s last 8 starts as a favorite. Masterson for the Sox, over his last 3 starts has been dismal. Masterson has an ERA of 8.53 and a WHIP of 2.29 over his last three games. Rays should win this game.

Today’s pick:

Tampa Bay Rays

Saturday Baseball Pick

I’m looking at the Mets today at home against the Reds. Cincinnati is 2-7 in their last 9 meetings against the Mets and 17-41 in their last 58 road games. Mets are 27-11 at home and Harvey is pitching. Need I say more?

Today’s pick:

New York Mets

Friday Series Pick

Let’s switch it up with a pick on a 3-day series this weekend. San Diego is hosting the D’Backs. I’m going with the Padres. They should be able to get 2 out of 3 – a good value.

Weekend series pick:

San Diego Padres

Thursday Baseball Pick

Yanks came though yesterday, extending my winning streak to 5 in a row. Today I’m running with them again today as a road dog in Houston. Two quality pitchers are facing each other tonight. Warren for the Yankees has an ERA of 2.76 and a WHIP of 0.98, for his last 5 outings and Keuchel for the Astros who has an ERA of 3.12 and a WHIP of 1.01 over that same span. Yanks have fared well in Houston, winning 7 of their last 9 meetings there. Yankees are 8-2 with Warren over his last 10 starts on grass and 4-0 when he has 5 days rest. On the other side, the Astros are 2-5 with Keuchel’s last 7 starts against the American League East and 2-6 in Keuchel’s last 8 Thursday starts. Let’s steal one in Houston.

Today’s pick:

New York Yankees

Wednesday Early Baseball Pick

With the Bucs win last night, that’s 5 wins out of the last 6 picks. Today I’m taking the Yankees. I just can’t see the Phillies sweeping them in the Bronx, even with Cole Hammels on the hill. Phillies are 14-37 in their last 51 road games and the Yankees are 11-4 in their last 15 at the stadium. Ivan Nova returns today from Tommy John surgery and will get the start. Mark Teixeira is questionable but should be in the line-up. Yankees have the edge in bullpen, hitting, power and defense. They should win today.

Today’s pick:

New York Yankees
