The San Diego State Aztecs were not at their best yesterday against the Colorado State Rams but still found a way to win and that is what elite teams do. Tonight SDSU will face the San Jose State Spartans in the Mountain West tournament at their home away from home, Thomas & Mack Center. San Diego has owned San Jose over the years and this year has been no different. In their last meeting on January 28th, the Aztecs routed the Spartans, 72-51, and if they contain the Spartans’ standout Omari Moore as they did in the last meeting, they will cruise to an easy victory.

The Youngstown State Penguins and the Northern Kentucky Norse will square off in the Horizon Conference tournament tonight at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum. Youngstown State is #1 in the Horizon League and can light it up. They are averaging 83.5 points per game as opposed to #4 ranked Northern Kentucky’s 67.8. These teams last met on February 4th, with the Penguins winning in a rout, 74-56. The line has moved from Youngstown State laying 2.5 to 3.5 and who knows where it will end up? Money line it.

The South Florida Bulls will be in Wichita today for a meeting with the Wichita State Shockers. These two teams match up well, which was evident in their last meeting in January when Wichita State won a close one, 70-66. The Bulls are hot, riding a 3-game winning streak, are 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5, and the road team is 5-1-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings. South Florida is currently getting 7.5 and should get under the number.

The Old Dominion Monarchs will open the Sun Belt Conference Tournament tonight against the Texas State Bobcats at Pensacola Bay Center in Pensacola, Florida. The Monarchs enter the tournament clicking on every cylinder. They have won 3 straight, 8 of their last 10, and are 11-7 in conference play. The Bobcats have been just the opposite. They are 3-7 in their last 10 and a dismal 6-12 in conference play. The Monarchs are currently laying 3.5, depending on where you shop, and should cover the number, going 6-1 ATS in their last 7, but keep in mind these two teams last met on February 11th with the Monarchs winning a close one, 70-68. Play it safe.

The Nevada Wolf Pack will be a road favorite tonight when they visit the Wyoming Cowboys. Nevada should have no problem taking care of business tonight. The Pack are third in the Mountain West and 12-4 in conference play. The Cowboys are dead last in the Mountain West, in the #11 spot, and just 3-13 in conference play. The Pack have won 6 of their last 7 and are 6-1 ATS in their last 7. Nevada has the edge in points scored, points allowed, free throws, 3-pointers, and the list goes on.
TONIGHT’S PICK: NEVADA WOLF PACK -5½

The San Francisco Dons will be a road dog tonight when they visit the BYU Cougars. The Cougars have been struggling. They have lost 4 straight and 7 of their last 9. On the flip side, the Dons are riding a 3-game winning streak and beat the Cougars in their last meeting on January 21st, 82-74. Take the points.
TONIGHT’S PICK: SAN FRANCISCO DONS +6

The Detroit Mercy Titans will look to remain hot when they host the Northern Kentucky Norse tonight at Calihan Hall. The Titans have won 3 straight and 5 of their last 6. At home, they are 8-3 where they have been lighting up the scoreboard, averaging 81.1 points per game. The Norse are just 4-6 on the road, where they average 61.5 points per game. Detroit will be extra motivated tonight after losing a close one to Northern Kentucky in OT, 78-76, back on January 8th in Kentucky. The current line is Titans -1 with a money line of -120.
