Buffalo is #1 in the Mid-American Conference and can score, racking up 181 points in their first two games. The Salukis are 0-1, falling to Kentucky, 59-71, and are ninth in the Missouri Valley Conference. This won’t be a walk in the park for the Bulls. The Salukis have a lot of veteran players and gave Kentucky a run for their money. The line is Buffalo -4.5. Don’t sweat the hook and consider Buffalo on the money line.

There have been a lot of upsets so far during this NCAA tournament but I don’t see that happening today when the #1 seed Villanova Wildcats take on the #5 seed West Virginia Mountaineers. Villanova has not lost at a neutral site, going 11-0, where they are averaging 84.3 points per game and allowing an average of 64.3. The Mountaineers are 7-2 at a neutral site, where they are averaging 78.7 points per game and allowing an average of 70.9. In their first two games of the tournament, the Wildcats were dominant, blowing out Alabama, 81-58, and Radford, 87-61. Lay the 5 and take Villanova.

The Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners have been a force on their home court and that is where they will be tonight when they face the Sam Houston State Bearkats. The Buffalo Bulls not only beat 4th seeded Arizona on Thursday, they blew them out, winning 89-68, and they will face another powerhouse today, the Kentucky Wildcats. The win on Thursday was no fluke. This Bulls team can play with anybody. In Thursday’s win, they hit 15 of 30 3-pointers and shot 54.8% overall. We all know Kentucky’s track record and this won’t be an easy one for Buffalo. The Wildcats are 2-0-2 ATS in their last 4 NCAA Tournament games and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall. On the flip side, the Bulls are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 after a straight up win. Neutral court numbers are similar. Buffalo is 5-2 and 6-1 ATS, averaging 82.1 points per game, and allowing an average of 75.3. Kentucky is also 5-2 and 6-1 ATS, averaging 76.0 points per game, and allowing an average of 68.7. If the Bulls’ Wes Clark is on, like he was on Thursday scoring 25 points, don’t be surprised if Buffalo does it again.
